"A so-so experience. Ordered the item (a phone) on 23 November (Black Friday). It was in stock and ready to ship, but it didn't ship until one week later (the next Friday). I ordered it with a black skin, the printed invoice states 'black', but it came with a purple skin. I phoned and they said sorry, they would try to ship out a black skin if it was available. 2 weeks later an apology letter came stating they cannot send out individual items like that, but if I wanted to I could return the phone. This was my first QVC experience; not a great start."
"I ordered a weed killer deal from QVC -- M27705 - WeedBlaster Pro Stand Tall Garden Sprayer It was extremely flimsy so I returned it. That was 1 month ago and they still say it has not been received. Great news though, my credit card was immediately charged! That does it for me!"
"PURCHASED A 5" LUMINARA BATTERY OPERATED CANDLE FOR MY LIVING ROOM. WHAT A NEAT PRODUCT. FROM ONLY A FEW FEET AWAY IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE I AM BURNING A REAL CANDLE. I WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE A COUPLE MORE. QVC MADE THE PURCHASE QUICK AND EASY AND I RECEIVED THE PART QUITE QUICKLY THROUGH UPS. THANKS QVC."
"I have been very disappointed with my last two major orders from QVC. I ordered several items on value pay for my mom as Christmas gifts and they did not send two of the items I ordered. It two 3 weeks to finally receive one of the items, I finally gave up on the other. "
"Ordered a laptop messenger styled bag at a great price, shipped really quickly, alot quicker than I expected. When I got my package, it was the wrong item. They sent a laptop sleeve... Called customer service and the lady kept trying to catch me in a lie, saying multiple times that I got what I ordered. The return policy is straight enough, but i wasnt offered any sort of rush shipment even though i would have to wait for them to get the wrong item back before they shipped the right one and time is of the essence. I had to order the same item again and send the other back asking for a refund to get it quicker, and im afraid that ill get the wrong item again and that they wont refund the first shipping fee..."
"I ordered my first items from QVC.com today. Their shipping is ridiculously overpriced. I'm having buyers remorse already, after 5 minutes. Without shipping (three items from the same company...) the price of the three small items was 78 dollars. With shipping it came to 102 dollars. That's over 20 dollars in shipping. Supposedly they can't combine shipping, according to their site. This not only is expensive but is also very wasteful considering the the resources they must go through. I won't be ordering from QVC again. I will simply try to find similar product elsewhere. "
"Ordered a touchpad bundle from QVC. Their inventory system was accurate and shipping was quick. It arrived as expected on the delivery date."
"This was my second order from QVC and both were very positive, first order was a select comfort mattress which turned out very well, and this order was for an HP Touchpad. After several disappointing cancellations from other retailers that oversold, I was pleasantly surprised that QVC had such an accurate inventory tracking system-and after the order was placed I called and had it changed to expedited shipping by a CSR-and they were pleasant to boot. Thanks so much QVC, I will be back!"
"EXCELLENT FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE WITH QVC! HAD A PRODUCT THAT WAS SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE AND AFTER DEALING WITH THE CANCELLATIONS OF OTHER RETAILERS QVC HANDLED THE SITUATION EXTREMELY WELL WITH THEIR LIVE INVENTORY SYSTEM."
"They're really really good. they had what I needed at a competitive price. Their order processing is efficient and informative. They did exactly what they promised. They even included a return label with the item. I bought in case I changed my mind. Wow. They shipped the day after the order was placed in very sturdy and well-cushioned packaging. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and rather impressed.I love my Laptop"
"I purchased a set of Cooks Essential cookware a number of years back (12-14). It had a 50 year warranty. The entire set was no longer non-stick and the finish was coming off so I contacted QVC & was given instructions on returning all of the items. Unfortunately, they only replaced a little over half of the items and offered me a refund that wouldn't cover even 2 of the 3 missing items. I got nowhere with them. So I would not recommend ever purchasing from them, I know I'm not going to."
"I had shopped with QVC off and on since it bagan back in 1986 but I am no longer a customer. Over the years I have seen their quality and customer service rapidly decline. Their shipping and handling has become way over priced and their prices less competitive. the last straw for me was when my QVC account was hijacked and fradulent charges were made to my account. Someone called in claiming to be me and was able in one quick phone call to change my phone number and pin number. They charged a $3000 TV and some other stuff to my account. Fortunately, I am someone who monitors my accounts daily and I was able to reverse everything. It took me days to get someone at QVC to show any concern over this....I just kept getting "these things happen". finally someone called me from loss prevention and explained to me that they were having a problem tied to my state. When I questioned her about security she was only able to tell me that people figure out ways to cheat the system quicker than they can prevent it. I asked why security passwords are not in place like credit card companies use and her response was "yeah, we keep suggesting that but management just doesn't listen". That was the end for me. I closed my account, filed a police report and stopped shopping at QVC. I will never do business with them again. It's sad really, if they had kept the same integrity and business plan that they started with they could still be a great company to do business with."
"Everything fine, as advertised. They do charge sales tax, to some unexpected places, but you find that out before you finalize the order.
Some bargains available, mostly in their Clearance section on merchandise which not many people bought. And on their "Last Clicks Price" merchandise, where they are trying to clean out a low inventory.
Also a minor point: They echo an average amount of credit-card info in confirmation e-mails, which are not secure of course. A number of stores I prefer to deal with are echoing less and less cc info now-a-days."
"Horrible customer service!
Prices are marked up dramatically.
Ordered laptop which was shipped in the retail packaging NOT a shipping container. Received it and it had been smashed.
Do not shop with this merchant."
"I just discovered QVC on TV fairly recently, and really enjoyed a number of the presentations. It was clear that the "savings" they were promising were based on laughably inflated suggested pricing, but I could overlook that. However, I did find that when I tried to research the products they were demonstrating, wherever else I looked, not only was the price usually substantially lower (since other places aren't paying for 24-7 airtime), but the reviews were more negative. A few weeks ago, I placed my first five orders, in quick succession. All were for products not available anywhere else. Of the five, I have kept one item. The others were ridiculously overpriced garbage. I've learned why, when I tried to place the review for my final order.
It was for a QVC "exclusive" flatware set that had about 98% positive reviews on the QVC site. I saw the set on TV and it was gorgeous. During the presentation, the host kept talking about the reviews on their site, how the buyer could know they were getting great quality because all the reviews were so enthusiastic. When my own set arrived, it was in terrible condition, as if I had ordered a set of factory seconds. The knives' handles were pitted out and the stamping of the design on the other pieces was beautiful on some and practically invisible on others. I liked the pieces that were fine well enough to contact the manufacturer for warranty service. They declined to honor the warranty (the manufacturer was "Temp-Tations," in case anyone is interested). I arranged a return instead and wrote a review on the product on QVC's site. My review included the manufacturer refusing to honor the warranty, because that is directly related to the product's value. The warranty is advertised in QVC's product description. QVC declined to publish the review. I rewrote it, softening the part about the warranty. They still declined to publish it.
Now I understand why QVCs reviews are so consistently more positive than on other sites. Their review moderation process suppresses negative feedback, in an apparent attempt to prevent other suckers learning about potential problems with the products they're hawking. "
