If I need something quickly, I would prefer to deal with someone locally who can quickly address my needs and get me what I need, when I need it. So while it was a great experience, it's a very long delivery time and I understand we're on opposite coasts of the US, but still. "

"We purchased our first mailbox from Mailboxes.com over ten years ago. Our business is located near a regional landfill on a county back road that connects a local college campus with several student hangouts. Due to the heavy traffic, we expected the mailbox to last less than a month.
Ten years, seven months and eleven days later, the mailbox finally succumb to a runaway utility trailer. Actually, the mailbox STOPPED the runaway trailer, possibly preventing injury to someone travelling along our road. We ordered a replacement mailbox. "I needed a locking road side mail box that was durable and had the right style to compliment the rest of my new home. Mailboxes.com had exactly what I was looking for. Setting the post was the most difficult part of the installation as it took some time and effort to establish the correct location, height and distance from the curb side, but other than the back breaking work of setting it into a concrete base (which took a couple of hours, thank goodness for quick setting concrete), installation of the newspaper holder and the mail box was relatively simple and only took about 15 minutes. The address numbers were equally easy to apply to the box and it looks fantastic. The mail carrier came by when I was installing the post and grumbled that it looked a little too low, but he had no idea what box I was putting on the post. I can't wait to see what he has to say now that it is complete because it sets within the USPS approved height range and should certainly be easier for him to reach than many of the other boxes along our road that he complained were set too low. A lot of people would probably opt for a less expensive mail box from the home stores but if you're willing to spend a little more, I would certainly recommend Mailboxes.com."

"The custom white vinyl mailbox lettering I ordered is very flimsy and the adhesive used does not seem to be especially robust enough to withstand the outdoor elements without causing the letters to peel away from the mailbox over time. Given the premium pricing for this lettering I would have expected the adhesive to be far stronger than what was on the product.. Your customer service personnel was not much help in dealing with this issue nor did they seem to be at all interested in addressing my concerns."
