"I called Customer service for help with measuring my work. They were prompt and knowledgeable but he directed me to give the smaller measurement among a range that I had for a painting (that wasn't exactly square)and the fit is too tight. Also 2 of the 8 frames had noticeable chips--one that was just painted over and one that was not. I could use a youtube video on the nuances of putting the frames together. Not being a professional framer there are lot of places it can go wrong--and I think I did everyone of them."

"When the frame arrived, I found that a corner had been damaged in shipment. I was also surprised to see that all the corners seemed to be poorly assembled. After contacting the company by phone and sending a photo of the damaged corner, after UPS picked up the damaged frame (which I had repackaged), a replacement frame was delivered. This frame was much better wrapped with each corner well-padded and the entire frame double-wrapped with bubble wrap. All corners were perfect. I am very pleased with the second frame. I've dealt with this company for many years and have never been disappointed with the service even when rare mistakes were made. I will continue to order frame from pictureframes.com."

"I found pictureframes.com to have a great product line with offerings suitable for a wide variety of circumstances. I've purchased and received twice from them and am awaiting delivery on my third order. Prices are reasonable and delivery is quick. "I love pictureframes.com. I've been going to them ever since I found that they were the only ones that carried a super-tiny shadow box frame. Their tool for previewing mats and frames is fantastic, shipping is great, and everything always comes out looking just like it did in the preview image. Plus they have a huge variety of low-priced to expensive ready-made and custom frames. I don't frame anywhere else anymore."

"I received this order probably a month ago and didn't open it at the time. Today I opened the frames and have to tell you that I was amazed at how well they were packed and absolutely gorgeous to look at. I put the pictures in immediately and am so very happy to be giving these to our son and his wife for Christmas. I will be back again as I have absolute confidence in the frames you have (and there are loads and loads to look at online) so I will look forward to shopping with you again. Many thanks.

"I ordered an over sized frame...special order, and the frame was nicer than I expected....beautiful gold color wood frame. It was way less expensive than a cheap frame in the local frame store...I paid around $70., and everyone thought I got a great deal. It came with easy assembly instructions,..also I got a discount code, which almost covered the cost of shipping. I definitely will shop from them again! Thanks, Mary"

"I ordered an over-sized picture frame, so you send it to me unassembled. However, you still charged me $34.02 for shipping and handling. I think you over-charged me for shipping and handling. So far I have not received my order therefore I can't tell you if I am satisfy with your product. I'll give you another review after I received my order."

"See updated review at the end of this posting. I initially rated this company a "*". I have raised that rating to "***".

Positives: I like the fact that I can match the frames and mats with the photo to get a real sense of how the finished product will look. There also was a large variety of frames and mats to choose from.

Negatives: Don't assume that the frames listed in the section marked "wood frame" are actually made of wood. The frame I received was particle board. The frame arrived broken because (1) it was poorly packaged and (2) it was made of crappy particle board. When I discussed this fact with the sales rep, he conceded that the model was listed under wood frames, but argued that the description didn’t actually use the word “wood,” so I shouldn’t have been deceived. But the description didn't say it wasn't wood either. In Texas there's a statute in the Business and Commerce Code that deals with representations that a product has characteristics that it doesn’t actually have; it’s called the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Fortunately the company agreed to credit my account. However, the sales rep said this couldn’t be done until after the claim for a damaged product had been reported to and addressed by the shipping company. Meanwhile, I had to pay for a replacement frame and foam board as well as the shipping fee. Fine, I replied, but I let the sales rep know that if my VISA card wasn’t credited within 30 days of the date of the original order, then I would file a dispute with the my credit card company. On the 29th day, I called the pictureframes.com to remind the sales rep of my intention if my account wasn’t credited. A message was left with another sales rep who said the original sales rep would get back with me. I never heard back from anyone, so I filed a dispute with the company and my account was credited for the amount of my original order less the cost for the original parts that were not damaged on arrival.

The company's manager read my initial review and made every effort to accomodate my needs. He even noted that I was entitled to a larger refund than I had intially calculated. I applaud his efforts to address the problems I encountered. He also informed me that the website is being updated to better distinguish particle board frames from wood frames. I'll give this company another chance.
