"Placed order on June 5th, 2 month later, still nothing. Was supposed to ship that week but no. To my surprise there's a string of 1 star reviews on this company I thought was once reputable but not the case anymore. It's laughable how they try with these templated responses to defend themselves as if these one star ratings will disappear. GTFOH with your lies and scamming bs. Obviously this company is tanking and will be out of business soon. The fact they able to secure our money without providing the product using a waiting game of attrition, hoping we will forget about the order is scandalous and should be illegal. Most companies, legit companies, charge upon shipping and sometimes not until delivery. I am actually going to not cancel my order but rather report it as fraud with my bank and see about further legal action against them. Perhaps a class action lawsuit will be coming due to all these people being ripped off. They're breaking laws, no doubt and their time is going to be up soon. "Horrible first time experience. I ordered an item on March 10. Of course the item would not be available & the item was rescheduled to arrive e other dates. Now July 13 I am sick & tired of waiting I have decide to cancel my order altogether. I will not be buying from Summit racing again. Complete waste of time. I could have purchased elsewhere. I found the same exact item on Ebay for a lot less."

"[Original 5-star review] I am really surprised to see so many negative reviews about Summit Racing. It's is an excellent company that you can trust. In over 30 years as a customer, I have never had a problem returning a purchase if I needed to. They are very clear about which products they have in stock, and when they expect to ship the products they don't. Their customer service is responsive and tries to be helpful. It's not realistic to think they can be experts on everything - one poor seat recommendation comes to mind - but I have found their advice to be worth asking for, and better than their competitors'. Summit's recent (from a 30-year perspective) entry into restoration parts is a welcome development. I recommend Summit to anyone, and can attest from personal experience that Jeg's can't even come close.
[2022-01-21 update] Stew-88973 may be on to something. I still consider myself a fan of Summit, but their product recommendations are now worse than useless. This is based on several recent experiences, but to cite just one - I asked if Summit sold a 1-piece carpet set for a 1980 Camaro. "Angelo" told me that they only sell 2-piece sets. It's actually not true; I had found multiple 1-piece options on my own.
IMO Summit is still really good about telling you realistic ship dates, price matching competitors, having a great selection, and making returns easy. They are also able to get sales tax right; sadly, not everyone can."
"Ordered a carb with the understanding it would be 2 weeks before it shipped. That's fine. Even if it was a week longer, that's fine. Got an Email stating it would be almost 2 months before it could ship. Too long. Called and cancelled the order. NP doing that. 3-5 to get money back. Well, so be it. 7 days and counting and still nothing. How come it only takes minutes for these companies to take your money but days, weeks to return it? Do I need the money that bad? Well there are other things I would like to and need to order. Why do I have to hit my savings again when a greedy multimillion $ operation is holding my measly $511 for 7+ days. Maybe Summit needs to stop sponsoring motorsports if they can't afford to give back a measly $511 back in a timely manner. "
"Ordered a new hitch cargo carrier from Summit, but instead got a used item that was dirty, broken & rusted. I called to report this that same day. We ended up having to pay more through another retailer that I had to make a last minute drive 45 miles each way to pick up, so that we could leave on schedule. When I called Summit, they told me I could return the item upon our return. After our return, I first chatted online with a representative who sent me a return label and said I would be reimbursed when they got the item back & that I could drop the item off at a UPS store or request a pickup. So after all the inconvenience and extra expense, and having never received the item I ordered (just a piece of broken & rusted junk that I then had to spend more time/effort to return), I go online to find out that a pickup would require a fee to UPS, because Summit did not authorize a pickup. After another long call with Summit, they authorized a prepaid label, but when they received the item, they charged me for shipping! This company is a joke."

Revised stocking philosophy has the selves empty and wait times approaching absurd. Any blaming the pandemic 18 months after the onset (if true) shows a company not able to adapt. My personal favorite is when the sales rep disconnects you if they don't like the conversation. Maybe this is Jeg's chance to re-establish as the big player.....nahh.

"I ordered parts in June that were listed as in stock with numbers, i waited the few weeks i was told because, hey its summit racing, they used to be trustworthy. After nothing arriving i looked into tracking and they hadn't even left warehouse because apparently the items that they still say they have stock for, are all on back order. I waited on hold for over an hour and got disconnected, cancelled my order instead of waiting and asked for a refund. I got no response from CS after several emails asking for my refund to be processed, finally had to escalate it thru Paypal to get refunded. Still have yet to get anything from customer service as to why my items are on back order but show in stock, and why they dragged their feet on my refund.
They deserve the single star ratings that have been flooding in, they are most certaintly not fake coming from my experience. Long time customer, be a long time before i go back, even with free shipping to canada.

Buying a defective part from Summit Racing cost me 6 hours and $35. spoke to company rep only got excuses. Avoid these guys. Sell low quality merchandise."
"Ive ordered front walance panel for my 73 pontiac. Summit shipped it 10 days ago. When I was trying to verify why tracking info not showing any entry to delivery network, contacting Summit customer services is a pain in bottom. I had to wait 2 days for Facebook messenger response, and didn't recived any response via email.
At the end ive foud out that my item is lost and Summit can send it again so ive asked do the have it in stock and response was no they can send it (maybe) at the end of MAY
What a waste of time!!. Never again. Summit racing is burnt for me."
