"AVADirect offers a great service. I would and mostly likely will buy from them the next time I upgrade or build a PC.
I normally build my own but I decided I didn't want the headache of having to do everything myself, because let's face it, yes building your own PC is easy, but things can and do go wrong, and I didn't want to deal with it.
AVA did very professional work on the PC. It looks stellar and runs great.
The only negative thing I have to say about them is their speed. I wish they moved a little bit faster, but they are clear as to why it takes so long; they do a fair amount of testing before they will ship a PC to ensure you are getting a quality product, so my one negative is actually a positive.
Give them a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed."

"I ordered the Ava Direct "$1000 gaming PC" that was reviewed on G4 TV's Attack of the Show in April, 2011. I made a couople of minor changes which boosted the price to about $1150 + $30 shipping.
The PC is EXCELLENT for gaming. I am using it for everything from the usual office tasks to high-end gaming and it performs wonderfully. I had only ONE monor problem which was solved by upgrading the video drivers. Other than that, it's been wonderful.
This POC was a GREAT Christmas present to myself! Wish I could have done it sooner! I would definitely recommend AVA Direct to anyone searching for an economical gaming PC."

"I had intended to get this review up earlier, but hey, better late then never. I'm a huge fan of custom computers and have ordered from a few of the other well know companies, but by far and away AVA Direct has out preformed the lot. The rig is amazing which I expected as I paid 2k for it, but the reason I would reorder in a heart beat is Joe Mundy. Joe is the man. Cool guy, knowledgeable, and efficient. So AVA, I don't know if you read these reviews, but do whatever you need to to hold onto that man. It staff like that that make a business. Keep doing your thing Joe.
Love the computer, excellent service, enough said.

"Overall, I'm very satisfied -- I received a quality build. I'd especially like to give props to the retail sales representative, Joe Mundy, who did a fantastic job of shepherding the order through processing and keeping me informed about progress and problems. There was a minor problem of some extra case fans not having been installed, but Mr. Mundy is processing a credit with no hassles."

"I used to build my own PCs but I'm getting lazy in my old age. AVA Direct had the best selection and pricing. I must have been an easy customer because I knew exactly what I wanted, right down to not having stupid Intel and Windows stickers on the case. The case, BTW, is the CM Scout, which is one of the toughest and coolest-looking cases available, IMHO. AVA Direct did a great job following my detailed instructions. I was also impressed by the neatness of the wiring, the sturdiness of the shipping container and the smoothness of operation right out of the box. The closest thing to criticism I can offer is that it took about as long to receive the PC as they said it would. No problem there. I have no hesitation recommending AVA Direct based on my experience. I should also note I got this PC six months ago and haven't had single a problem with it despite adding hard drives, reloading Windows and tacking on all sorts of peripherals."

"I ordered a custom built gaming laptop. Intel i7-2860QM 2.5GHz processor, 18.4" screen, 120 GB SSD primary drive, 40 GB SSD scratch drive for Photoshop, 750 GB 7200 rpm storage drive, 12 GB ram. I use this primarily for Photoshop editting, with a little game playing as well. The computer is awesome. From a cold start, I am up and running in less than 30 seconds. Photoshop loads in about 20 seconds. Amazing speeds. I am so pleased, I have ordered a 2nd one for my son to play games on. I paid for 2nd day shipping becasue I didn't want the unit bouncing around on a truck for a week. I didn't have too. The packing was so good you probably could drop it off a bridge and not have any problems with it."

"My experience with AVA Direct has been fabulous. From design suggestions, to the obvious quality of the build, to technical support afterwards, AVA has been prompt, professional and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend. I reseached several custom makers for a few months before deciding on AVA and I feel that I could not have made a better decision.
I now have a fast, high quality computer, with high quality parts (something that the store bought brands cut corners on),an elegant build, and a design that offers the abilty to smoothly accomplish my most complex work.
Regarding the cost, they are in line with other custom builders; you pay less for brand name, but you get less, IMHO, substantially less.

"I spent quite a long time deliberating over, choosing and then changing my specs for the two PC's I planned to order with AVADirect. They had to be perfect. The sales associate Joseph Mundy was a tremendous help during the whole process. Their selection of parts is awesome, and one of the main reasons I chose them for my builds. Their prices are comparable enough to sites such as newegg.com that I feel it is worth having them deal with the hassle of building and testing the rigs. I would buy from them again and recommend them to friends."

"What can I say?? Like most everyone, I looked around and the more I looked AVADirect looked fantastic. Having come from a retail background the customer service (Joe and Anthony) was the best. System got here in great shape and was packaged to handle the ride with FedEx...even spacers between components to hold in place. Unboxed and fired it up and haven't looked back!! So far this is the best to date for me (including some I built)...quiet, robust, and everything a young or old gamer could want. I have called to ask questions a few times and am always happy with the great attention to detail and satisfaction. Great job gang!! I won't even have to think about the NEXT system!!
Update(12-10-11)...Have had the system for a couple of months now and am very happy to say that it way exceeds all expectations!! There are no issues whatsoever in gaming or everyday computing as well. Just spoke with Joe Mundy and that feeling of great service after the sale is very intact! If you are thinking of getting a pc at all, I would highly recommend AVADirect!!! Way to go gang!!!"

"AVADirect provided me with a custom mATX at a great price and excellent quality. The packaging & shipping was great. And the salesperson was great is helping review my configuration. I almost feel the deal was too good given the high quality.
Ironically, I became aware of AVADirect.com through a e-newsletter from a competitor and the previous vendor that I ordered a custom PC from. The e-newsletter referred me to a CNET review comparing mATX products from several vendors including AVADirect.com.

"I looked at a lot of different websites that offered to build gaming computers for a long time before I was actually ready to buy. AVADirect was the one I settled on due to fairness in pricing versus the quality of the parts and not to mention the sheer size of options available for everything that goes into a computer! As I did my research, part for part, some of those other websites just didn't have what I wanted and more often than not were way over priced.
AVADirect had everything I wanted and more! Once I ordered the computer, everything from there was a breeze. Upon arrival I saw that the installation was impeccable and the beast ran like a dream! I couldn't be happier! I would highly suggest purchasing a computer from AVADirect!"

"Several years ago, I wanted a new, hot, top-of-the-line gaming rig -- but I ain't rich. I specced out a good machine at Alienware that I couldn't afford, and then I searched around for a company that would use the same parts, but not the fancy Alienware chassis and all. And I found AVA Direct, where I saved about 800 bucks.
When it came time to upgrade, I got a new system in 06, and one in 09. I used to order component parts and build my own rigs, but I'm too old for messing with that. AVA Direct builds my rigs for me. I even told them how to partition my HDD, and what to name each one, so they could do the XP install for me, and I wouldn't have to re-do it after I got the machine. When an old motherboard blew out, I ordered the mobo & processor pre-assembled so I could slip it into the case without self-assembly of that.
I specced a PCIe SLI video card when they first came out. I didn't know what power supply I needed; I called in and they gave me to a tech -- NOT a salesman -- and he told me exactly. They also didn't have the ATI 800 card I wanted, so they bumped me to an 850 at no extra charge. Couple years later, I wanted another memory stick -- gawd knows I can't remember memory specs. I sent a message saying I wanted a stick that goes into the rig from order number blah blah blah, and they sent me a link to the pages where they sell the memory.
