Hello Jenika, We hear some concerns from time to time about cost of shipping and it's hard to turn that around. We work really hard to package items as compact as we can to keep these costs down, but with UPS moving to dimensional weight it makes it hard. This pole is shipping from Utah so the transit isn't a short one which adds to the cost as well. Complaints like this are why most companies won't even offer replacement parts, but we feel like it's better than making our customers buy new stands. We do appreciate your feedback and the order.

Paul, We hear this from time to time and we appreciate you letting us know. Our site is linked with UPS so the quotes and costs come directly from them. UPS has gone to all dimensional weight and we've seen some price changes. This stand is also shipping from Utah and going to TN so that's going to play a part in the cost as well. Let us know how the Magic Banner worked out for you.

Jennifer, Poles are hard to find because of how the manufactures make them fairly unique to each stand and there are so many different manufactures. We sure hop this pole works in your stand.

Maria, It's not that we weren't interested in taking your order over the phone, it's that we try not to do so as there is a far bigger chance of us not hearing you correctly and making a mistake on the order. We've also gone to great lengths to make the ordering process as easy as possible. Plus there are a lot of different options for shipping and timelines that sometimes are easier to choose on your own. We pride ourselves in outstanding customer service, so I'm so sorry you felt this was a lost opportunity.
