Sells policies that underwriters don't understand
"I've purchased several travel policies through insuremytrip.
I'm currently on the first trip where I've had to (attempt to) use my benefits due to trip interruption, trip delay, and baggage issues.
It's beyond disconcerting when I called the company who issued my policy, asked them to clarify benefits in reference to my situation (when stranded in an airport, delayed 24+ hours where I would miss out on noncancelable travel expenses, and without my luggage), only for the agent of the company who issued my policy be unable to articulate my benefits - stating "I haven't been trained on this".
The moment when I needed to use my policy, was the moment I realized insuremytrip doesn't check the quality of their underwriters, much to my dismay."
