"Very bad experience. I will never buy from Jacks Small Engines (JSE).
I spent $26.41 on 4 items for my DeWalt rotary sander. Not bad. But the shipping charges were a rip-off!!! I was charged $29.95 because they considered that Puerto Rico (PR) is an international destination.
I exchanged email with their rep Jess M to understand if this was a mistake or the reasons why this freight charge was so high. But every time I asked or presented an argument, he/she responded with different reasons (very short explanations that make no sense) why JSE charged me $29.95. First I proved that PR is a domestic destination and also proved based on the original shipping label that the freight service used was USPS Ground Advantage service for a package weight up to 8 ounces to zone 7, commercial rate at a cost of only $5.75 (or less), not a flat rate of $29.95 a Jess M indicated. Jess M did not explained why the difference between the $5.75 USPS freight and the $29.95 charged.
With this scheme, JSE is making more money on the freight charges than what they are making on the sales of their products.
This was my horrific experience with Jacks Small Engines.
