"Ordered a product online and order was accepted. Made payment card authorization as if planning to ship. Customer service called/left message that they had cancelled the order. Still unclear of reason but decided to order elsewhere."

Great Price
"Got the camera at a great price.Was able to speak to someone on the phone to answer my questions. Delivery was as promised. If I had to fault them for anything, it would be their communication. I never got a confirmation email or a tracking update. I had to go to their website and login into my account to get any details on my purchase. Apart from these no complaints."

Buyer Beware!
"I purchased a new lens on the basis of the price and a "Trusted Seller" tag on Google. I was impressed with the customer service when a representative called to make sure that the lens would fit my camera. When it arrived I noticed only a warranty card with Tri-State's mailing address. I was suspicious and went to the manufacturer's website to complete the warranty. I then found out that this was a "gray market" lens. Tri-State purchases the product directly from the manufacturer in Japan and imports them directly, by-passing the US importing company. The result is that there is no manufacture's warranty, only a one-year Tri-State warranty. Hence, the better price, almost $100. When I called the seller they admitted that this was the case. They did offer to refund my purchase price only after attempting to explain away the deception. My point was that they should have disclosed that this product did not come with a USA warranty and let the customer make an informed decision upfront. I eventually decided to keep the lens because I am leaving on a trip in less than a week and didn't have time to replace it. We'll see if there is any problem in the future. Beware of a price that's too good. Ask if its a US warrantied product."

"I enjoyed the transaction with TriState, one thing was that they ended up not having any more cameras in black, like I ordered, so they sold me a white one, which is fine, bug they didn't match the sale price I had bought the black one for, ended up costing me about $65 more than I had anticipated. Would have been nice if they'd honored the price, but other than that everything was great."
