Two Great Shopping Experiences
"My daughter and I have each purchased a fully customized gaming desktop from AVADirect within the past several months.
The salesperson who assisted us both, Kyle, was very knowledgeable, responsive via phone and chat, and made a number of helpful recommendations. He also helped arrange to get me my build sans the GPU that was on back-order (not AVA's fault at all, there's a general component shortage) so that I would not have to rely on an aging PC that was beginning to falter. Given our experience thus far, I trust the card will arrive promptly as soon as availability permits.
Both machines arrived on schedule, as specified, with all accessories included, very well-packaged and free of bloatware. The wiring in mine had been pre-arranged per my request so I could easily install a couple of additional components I had here. It runs cool and quiet, and benchmarks very well even with an older graphics processor.
We had looked at some other custom PC vendors before we decided on AVADirect. I am happy we chose to do business with them, and will recommend them to friends in the future.
ETA: After a significant delay, Kyle contacted me and asked if I would like to swap the GPU I had ordered (which was still on back order) for a higher-end model and pay the difference. I was pleased to be offered the opportunity, and accepted, as there's no telling when another comparable card will be available. I'm impressed AVA was able to get their hands on this one, and it runs beautifully.
As fun and satisfying as it is to build a PC myself, ordering through AVA Direct offers the same thrill of carefully choosing exactly the parts you want without the stress and anxiety of locating and ordering each part individually, assembling, testing them and possibly RMAing anything that isn't working properly. It is more expensive, but in this case I had to revise my price rating upward because the service I have received has proven worth the additional cost."
