SQUARE TRADE MADE THINGS RIGHT FOR ME! I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE FAITH IN COMPANIES WHO STAND BY THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!
I am writing this review because I am very disappointed how my claim was handled by ST/A . It took them a month to tell me that they would not cover my speaker due to water damage from a fire. I don't get it...the speaker was not burned in the fire at all, it received water damage from the water from the fire department. They had me to return it 2 times and each time, I was told not to worry, they were going to take care of me. The last tech I spoke with by the name of Alina, told me not worry, that they were going got get this resolved after I had already sent the speaker back for a second time. Even though they paid for the shipping on each return, I had to take a 40lbs item to FedEx. At the end of the day, it wasn't about the customer, it was about them saving "Money." I have been a ST customer for a very long time and have often referred family and friends to get the insurance, but now I have to rethink their plans and consider some other options. I know it was an act of nature but come on man!!! I have the paperwork to protect my speaker and at the end of the day, they didn't honor it. And to boot, the speaker body was not damaged when I sent them all the pictures they requested however, upon return of the first shipment, there was a large whole at the bottom of the speaker. I informed them of this as well and they did nothing about it. They just didn't care. They're in the process of reimbursing me for the warranty, hoping to receive that $34.99 from them soon. Tell me, how much would it have cost them to replace the speaker, and I had the insurance? They didn't make any suggestions nor did offer to make this right…they just sent me on my way and said, have a good day ma’am.

In this case, the issues reported were due to a natural disaster not covered under our warranty. While SquareTrade does our best to assist all of our customers, we can only approve claims within the specifications of the coverage purchased. We understand the frustration that can come from this.
