"We ordered their diagnostic software and before it arrived we were given access to a download to use in the meantime. It didn't seem to meet our needs so we tried to reach them. We called 4 times on the purchase date and couldn't reach anyone. We ended up submitting a support ticket and our reply was filled with CAPS and snarky responses. We asked about multiple licenses and he referenced theft twice in his reply - once stating "They can actually steal and get multiple unlock codes. Quite frankly sir you are one of a very few who in many months has missed this point."
For some reason, they got defensive instead of simply quoting us for the product we needed. Hard to reach, not friendly. Would not recommend."
"Ordered a laptop motherboard - board was listed as new. The board had dust and hair in the usb ports, and wouldn't post. I'm pretty sure it was used. I returned the board immediately and the rma was refused because there was thermal paste on the video chip?!? They won't call you back after the sale and when I finally reached someone, a very quick/rude man said,"I'm just trying to run a business, if I gave that much attention to every rma I'd be doing rmas all the time."
It's frustrating to deal with people who won't return a call. It's worse when you finally do talk to them and they don't even know what thermal paste is for. They might reconsider removing "Priority" and "Computer" from the name. . from my experience it was just parts."
"I placed an order on Feb. 1 - This is a computer shop, so placing an order for $292.09 isn't very large for us. . but it's been 7 weeks and none of my calls or emails have been returned and still no product. I'm going after my money from their bank and would advise anyone to do the same. . maybe contact yahoo as they seem to be a yahoo store?
Well, nexfan, you had a great store until you screwed your customers over. Gratz, I get to add another one to my list :) Stay far away from these guys, any order placed with them turns into a donation!"
"I ordered a $77 motherboard, they "didn't process" my P.O. for 8 days. I call, they have the P.O. and I explain that now I need it overnighted. Their 8 day mental vacation cost me $50 - my $77 mobo now costs $127. I should mention that after I called to complain, they offered to pay tax?!?! I won't use them again."
"I overnighted a $980 laptop for my company - it arrived with the wrong power supply (it wouldn't even fit into the plug on the laptop). Ecost sent me to HP, HP sent me to Ecost. No luck. .
I manage a computer shop, and Ecost should replace my power supply - it's the cost of doing business! We have 107 stores and they just lost our business over a $40 part. Do yourself and your business a favor and steer clear of these clowns!!"
