Get the right technician and you're good
"I initially paid almost $600 to have Repair Smith replace a power steering pump by one of their techs a few weeks ago. However for 2 weeks the power steering indicator stayed on but the tech told me it would eventually go off and that he found no other issues with the vehicle. Wrong! I had to request and pay another tech to come look at the car after the power steering went out again. Estanis, who had worked on my car last year, came out and found a leak in the power steering pressure switch which made sense because even before the pump work was done, the car was losing fluid. Unfortunately the problem probably was never with the pump in the first place but the diagnostic was done by another service station, so not the fault of repair Smith. However, I feel the first tech should have done a better job and should have noticed and reported the leak when he replaced the pump. This would have saved me a lot of heartache and money. I only gave them 5 stars because of the technician Estanis. He did an awesome job for me last year and this time he found what the actual issue was that we had been having for months. I will only use Repair Smith in the future if I can request Estanis specifically."
