"I was in process, buying earphones on the Panasonic website. My credit card info was input, and all that was left was to click the "confirmation" button. The screen came up with the final price and it had been INCREASED from $16.99 to $33.99. I went back and started the process again. Sure enough, it did it again!.. Next, I tried some that were on sale for $11.99.. Went through the whole process and Boom! Changed it to $16.99 as the checkout price....??
At this point, I thought a call was necessary. Well.. I graduated through 3 levels of "support/escalation".. End result? "Our prices can change at any time." .. During Checkout?!!.. Yup..
Where else can I relate this experience? Can you imagine picking something out in a store, that has a price on it, only to find that the price went up as you walked towards the cash register?"
