"I thought I'd share the email I sent to Chris, the owner of Used Mac Reseller after our recent purchase experience with them. He made me aware of this site and asked if I'd be willing to post my experience here for others to see. I am happy to do so, and decided to just copy the email I sent to him.
Hi,
I want to take a minute to drop you a note about our recent order with you (Order#1494). We recently made the decision at our church to take the plunge and convert to Mac for all of our administrative, weekend production, website, creative & performance teams. This meant replacing our main presentation desktop, as well as our administrative desktop. I knew what we wanted as far as specifications, and that through the Apple store, we were looking at approximately $4,000 and could upgrade the system storage & memory in the future at approximately another $500-600.
This was just too much to tackle for a small but rapidly growing church, and we decided to look into purchasing used hardware. The horrific reviews we encountered nearly drove us away from pursuing this strategy. (As a matter of fact I gained purchase approval from our board for another site and made the call to cancel the order and look again based on information we found about the seller).
I kept returning to Used Mac Reseller because of the straightforward layout and simple ordering process. I finally asked for and received a “go” on ordering from you – said a quick prayer & hit the purchase button. Just a day or two later I received a call from your staff making sure our order was right and letting me know that it was going out that day. Tracking #’s followed and within a week both the 27” iMac & MacBook Pro arrived. We received two late model Macs with all the upgrades on our wish list for a total shipped price under $2,000!
The packaging was like Fort Knox, the specs were right on, (or better in the case of operating system!), and the units were in pristine condition. We have had both Macs in operation for the past week and they are running flawlessly. Any fears I might have had prior to this order never materialized. My experience with your website, staff and product has been excellent in every instance and I can’t wait to convert our children’s program to Mac. You can count on Grace and Truth working with you for that purchase as well.
