"Just wanted to provide a little update: I finally received an automated order status email today. It said that I had several items that had shipped, then listed several items as 'pending'. Some of the 'pending' items were the same items that had already shipped, and were listed multiple times. For example, the laptop, which I actually recevied yesterday, showed as shipped, and then again was listed twice below under pending. It almost looked like I had two more laptops on the way. When I checked the order status online, it listed someone else as the bill to and ship to (some lady in Alaska). This all kind of freaked me out, so I felt compelled ot call customer service. I have gone out of my way to be friendly when I have called. Every time I call, they try to sell me something...extended warranty on my laptop, some anti-virus software...something. I find this extremely annoying; it is, of course, their perogative to try and sell me stuff like this, but it is also my perogative to simply shop elsewhere. The hard drive and flash memory I ordered were still on backorder and still no firm date on when they would be coming in, so I cancelled these items. I will be paying close attention to see when my credit card is updated.
I called Tigerdirect to place an order that had 7 items worth $2,729.93 (one of the items was a laptop). The reason that I called to place the order was the website said the laptop usually ships in 2 to 4 days. This made me think that it was probably something they didn't stock and that it would be drop-shipped or something. This really was not something I was interested in becuase I had already identified some other online retailers that had this particular laptop in stock and ready to ship (ASUS V6V). When I called the CSR, he told me that the laptop was in stock in their warehouse. I then specifically questioned him about the note on the item on there website and how it said that the laptop usually shipped in 2 to 4 days, and I asked him if he was sure that this was not a drop ship item. He said no, he was sure it was in stock in the warehouse. Based on the information, I proceeded to place my order. While he was taking my order, he tried to sell me some other stuff. He asked me if I had 'online buyers protection'. I could sense that he was about to try and sell me something, but I didn't even know what 'online buyers protection' was, so I said no. It turns out he was trying to sell me PC Security software (I think it was CA eTrust Security Suite or something). Already he was making me feel like I couldn't trust him becuase he was trying to trick me into buying some software that I didn't need. Anyway, after the order was placed, I asked him if he could email me the invoice (they don't do this automatically...I guess you just cross your fingers and hope something shows up at your door). On the invoice it says "To be dropshipped" right next to the laptop. As you can imagine, I was pretty frustrated. I emailed him asking if he could explain that and he never replied. It has been a full business day since I placed my order and I've received no further email correspondence. When I go to their website to check the order status, it just says some items were back ordered, but does not say which ones or if anything has been picked or shipped or drop shipped or is on back order or anything. So basically I have no idea what the status of my $3000 order is."

"I placed this order on April 9th and it has not even shipped yet (today is April 16th). I put specific instructions in the order to call me if there was a back order as my need for the motherboard I was ordering was time sensitive. I called on Wed, Thur, and Fri for a status, and was told each day that it was going to ship that day. I will not order anything from CompuBuzz again.
Update: Today is April 26th. I never got my order. After several phone calls, I was finally told that Compubuzz doesn't even stock the motherboard that I ordered (and that their website said was in stock). I put specific instructions to contact me if the item I ordered was not in stock; they didn't. They certainly didn't have any trouble billing my credit card. I still haven't gotten a refund. I would NOT buy anything from these clowns. I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau."
