"The worst online seller I ever came across. I ordered, and was charged for, three titles but received only two. Both of them were clearly used: They were not factory sealed, one disc did not play, the other had playback issues as well as innumerable scratches and fingerprints on it, and the DVD cases were broken. To say I was shocked is an understatement. To add insult to injury, HKFlix did not reply to my e-mails.
This company charges restocking fees for any returned item ($2.25 per single-unit disc, $1.75 per disc in multidisc set). Its website states that it allows no refunds and that "By placing an order . . . you agree that you will not issue a credit card chargeback under any circumstance." Only someone with sinister intentions would make such disclaimers. HKFlix's only concern is to take people's money, period. There is no reason to patronize these scammers.
If you see a movie in HKFlix with an attractive price tag or that is virtually unobtainable elsewhere, understand that if you do order it, you won't get it, or if you do, it will be either unplayable or badly scratched, or both, and definitely used. Be patient and don't rule out overseas sellers or eBay, which does have honest sellers.
As regards the positive reviews of this seller on this site, I would not be surprised if the majority of them were written by the people at HKFlix. They seem to bear the same "fingerprint," that is, the same voice and writing style. Read carefully.
I regret that I hadn't done a thorough online search before ordering from these frauds. Doing so would have revealed what HKFlix is really about. Don't get burned!"
