"I have purchased two bicycles from BikesDirect in the last six months. I initially purchased a Motobecane 529 HT in July after I my physical therapist recommended 2-3 hours a day on a stationary. My old bike had been stolen so this was an inexpensive replacement. Though it did not cost a lot it had very nice components far above anything else in its price range. I payed $399 and it came with SRAM shifter and derailer and Hydrolic disk brakes. Nothing else in its price range had hydrolics. Well that bike was stolen a few months later when like an idiot I fell asleep on the subway. But by this time I had been bitten by the bicycle bug again (as a kid I LIVED on my PK Ripper BMX) and though I’m no longer doing “tabletops” or “360’s”. All I want to do is ride.
My birthday is in November so I decided to give myself the Motobecane Fantom 29er Elite in matte black ( cause it just looks cooler in black). And hot damn if this isn’t the most bad %#! bike!! It was on sale for $799 and came with Shimano Dieore XT 30 speed transmission and Hydrolic brakes, Rockshock Reconn forms with remote lock out and WTB tubless ready racing Wheel set. And when I decided I had ordered a size smaller than I really wanted？Not only did they exchange it for me no problem, they got me a discount on the return shipping. And they were just super helpful and polite the whole time. They also responded quite promptly to all my emails. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I’m saving up for a couple more bike right now in fact. This is my go to first stop shop for all things bike related. I only gave them 5 stars because they wouldn’t let me give them 10!"
