MR Cool Heat Exchanger Kit
"I installed the kit, a couple of things. Their bracket needed to be modified because It did not fit over the center hose coming from the water pump to the manifold. I needed to notch it to make it work. The bracket spacers also did not work and I needed to add washers to one side to make the bracket level. The kit only contained upper exhaust gaskets you should have mentioned that and included lower ones in the kit. The kit also contained 1 1/4 exhaust hose, that's fine to the "T" but there was no 1" hose to go from the "T" to each manifold, you gave 1/14" again for this. The hose coming from the oil cooler also did not fit due to the 90, once cut it was to short, had to go to NAPA for a longer hose. Three trips to the Marine store, one to NAPA and 2 hrs for fabrication is not what I call a complete kit. The parts were new and not cheaply so all in all it looks good. We will have to see how long it lasts. The directions are mostly a narrative, they really need to add some more illustrations. With just a touch more effort this would be a five star product."
