BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK
"I bought some Dolce & Gabanna prescription glasses from them, frame and lenses. Frame came in a general pouch, not in a Dolce & Gabanna box, what was a big red flag for me. Their customer service is inexistent, they never reply to your emails and their phone line most of the times takes you to a voice mail box that, guess what?: it's always full, day after day, and you can leave no message. After several unlucky attempts I finally got to talk to a lady and when I asked her why those frames, that according to them were original, came in a general pouch. She answered me with a question: "did we promise you an original box"? Just plain stupid. However, legit or not, I still liked the frame and commited my second mistake: I ordered the prescription lenses from them. When I got my glasses I felt something wasn't right, I could not see well. I went to my optometrist and found out they did not follow my prescription accurately. I went against them through Ebay and through PayPal, and they just said I had exactly what I had ordered, even after I sent them the print out of the lensometer that showed their mistake. They said the lensometer (digital, by the way) was wrong and that also optometrists are against online companies so that they might be lying. At no point of several emails they offered to help me, even after I said I could send them the lenses for verification. Ebay said I changed the frames, because I put lenses on them, (but don't forget, they are the same company, selling the frame and the lenses), dismissed the case and, guess what?: Ebay removed my comments, favoring again the seller. So my next step was going to Paypal who issued the payment for the lenses. After exchanging several emails with Youroptix through PayPal (what they reply, amazingly, almost immediately, much different from their customer service email because, of course, they knew I was pursuing a charge back), the never offered to help me. Paypal dismissed my case because I bought a customized item and, according to them, this type of item is not covered through PayPal protection. And PayPal is kind of right, they are prescription lenses, they must be customized, BUT THEY CAME WRONG. And now I only have to accept my loss: $219, because these lenses go to the trash can, and I learned that the cheap becomes expensive. And just being honest, original or not, I still like my Dolce & Gabbana, or not, frames. Please, be suspicious of the 5 star comment you see on the internet and buy at your own risk."
