"I believe this is a sister, or alias, company to TechonDIGITAL. Same Modus Operendi. (NO posts are being taken at that named site)
On the evening of Mar 19, 2008, I ordered a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 online and printed the order summary including the request to call and confirm the order before it would be shipped. I called the next morning. Guy finally answers, asks for order number. He states camera battery only lasts 20 minutes. I need to purchase a battery. I say not yet, I just want the camera. He says camera will only take about two pictures, I need an SD Card. I say I have a stack of them and only want the camera. He says it's a nice camera and hangs up. Today I receive this e-mail (and I copy verbatim):
-We thank you for your order and appreciate you shopping with us .
Due to the product you ordered being out of stock for 6-8 weeks from today's date. We regret to inform you that the order is canceled due to the product being on backorder. when or if we get the product again in stock soon will send you an email to place an order please do not resubmit your order again . sorry again and thanks for your understanding .-
I checked their website before this post and the camera is listed as available, but now at $175.00. The 1GB SD Card is $59.99 and the battery is $69.99! I do believe this is a dishonest way to do business. I feel almost lucky to have had the order cancelled with no fee charged (yet). I will definitely be monitoring my credit card number. Caveat Emptor!"
