"I too had ordered from CT in the past, but not any more. I received the same response about the non Vat refund as the poster below.
They state: "In congruence with many companies throughout the world, Charles Tyrwhitt has adopted an impartial pricing policy." - Who? All of your competitors offer a VAT discount, as do UK based retailers in other sectors. Nonsense.
"With the interests of fairness and equality in mind, we will be charging all customers the same price, so that the amount paid per item is the same wherever a customer resides." - I live in Canada, and like anyone outside of the UK or EU is charged £14.95 for shipping, three times the rate. So much for equal pricing.
The 20% they are not deducting for non VAT payers is pure profit for them, if not they would have put all shipping prices inline for their "equal pricing" policy. It is for this reason, the dishonesty behind their policies and explanation, that I am no longer a Tyrwhitt customer."
