No Decent Delivery Options, They Expect Me To Take a Half-Day Off Work To Receive Item
"They only ship FedEx with requirement for signature on delivery. This was noted in the checkout, but I was surprised that I was unable to use FedEx delivery manager to switch to pickup at a FedEx location, so I called FedEx and they told me that only the shipper could change delivery options. Then I called Panasonic and was told they will not allow pickup at FedEx, because they have problems with people stealing credit card numbers, then producing fake IDs, then using fake IDs to pick items up at FedEx locations (really!?). The best I can get from FedEx is a four hour delivery window in the middle of business hours, which is inconvenient for someone with a job to say the least; at my equivalent hourly rate it would cost me several hundred dollars to take the time off work, so the most convenient and cost-effective solution is to let the delivery fail, get returned to Panasonic and get processed as a return. Depending on who I decide to order an equivalent item from, I can probably get it sooner than it would take to jerk myself through a solution with Panasonic. I understand erring on the side of caution by default, but offering no viable delivery options for customers with jobs reduces your customer base, I have already wasted plenty of time and effort to get nothing from Panasonic."
