"I understand backorders. I don't understand not letting your customers know at once when something is backordered. I am a diabetic, obviously, who has to have these test strips to avoid a low. There have been problems getting them USPS'd to me unless I call and request that mailing method, so I thoughy I would put another order in earlier than I normally would so that if USPS was not used again I would still be okay. I wanted to do what I could on my end to get my test strips here when I need them.
I ordered last Thursady around 8:00 a.m. pacific time and rec'd a confirmation email of my order. By the next day I had not received a tracking number email and so at around noon on Friday sent an email asking if my order had gone out on Thursday since I had placed it before the cutoff time. I didn't receive an answer to my email. I then called and spoke to Ray who said he would call me next Tuesday, today, because the shipment was to be in then. When I didn't get a call today, Tuesday, I called again and find out that the order is now not even due to be shipped to JRS Medical until this Friday! That really puts me in a bind, as a diabetic.
Unfortunately, I can't trust JRS to get me my supplies. Even when I ask for USPS shipping on my online order in the comments box, 75% of the time they are not mailed that way and it takes 5-7 days to get my test strips. I usually don't have the extra money lying around to place an order sooner or to order more than I do.
I'll just have to find a more reliable source than JRS Medical."
