"I've been ordering from DeepDiscount for years but this will likely be the last time. Ordered a calendar on October 22 which showed In-Stock. Several days later, got an e-mail that it's Out of Stock. Called today (11/2) and spoke to a very rude guy who cut me off and asked for my order number, after which he said that the item was out of stock and they "have no idea when it'll be in" even though their site still shows it as In-Stock. I canceled my order."
"I have been a customer of BRW for nearly 6 years. I didn't use to have any problems. Then about a year ago, they started charging over DOUBLE the long-distance rate quoted on their website. I e-mailed "Jack", my support person twice, and when I finally received a reply he claimed that he would fix it. Nothing was done. Only after I contacted the BBB did he credit my account and change the LD rate to what it should be.
Last month on July 4th, I received a letter in the mail saying that as of July 1st, if I did not call my local number and change my PIC code to the carrier that BRW has changed to, I would be charged 8.1 cents per minute (previous rate was 3.2 cents per minute). I called and made the change on July 10th. However, from July 1st on I was charged 10 CENTS per minute. I e-mailed Jack and received no reply. I guess I'll have to contact the BBB again to get my money back and find another LD provider. BUYER BEWARE!"
"I ordered a Halloween costume for our daughter from this site. I received a confirmation e-mail that the order had been received. When I placed the order, the site said that the costume would be available to ship starting September 14.
September 14 came and went. On September 18 I checked the order status online and it said that the item was backordered. I contacted Celebrate Express's Live Chat help and asked when the costume would be available to ship. They told me that the item had SOLD OUT and would I like my order cancelled?
I told the Representative that I had received an order confirmation, and now the costume wasn't available? She said, "No, it must have sold out." I told her to cancel the order. I asked if I could have a confirmation that the order had been cancelled and she said, "Our systems aren't set up to do that." At that point I was so angry that I just hung up. AVOID!"
"Ordered a secondary sync cable w/ charger for my Palm TX. Price was less than 1/2 what competitors wanted. Placing order was easy. Received an e-mail with a USPS (my shipping choice) tracking number. Item delivered promptly and works just as advertised."
