"Purchased Sony HT-CT260W Sound Bar Speaker for Home Theater on 12/12/12. The price was reasonable compared to the competition. However, their website froze at the final stage of the order placement. After waiting for 15 minutes and making sure that I did not receive an order completion confirmation to my email, I replaced the order and immediately received the order confirmation the second time, it was shipped the next day and arrived promptly. But to my surprise, my credit card was charged twice and the shipping company brought 2 of the same product! I wasn't pleased but technical glitches can happen especially during the holiday season. The more serious problem happens after this point! I promptly rejected the duplicate shipment and called J&R's customer service which acknowledged the mistake and said they will credit the charge in a few days. One full week after that conversation and another follow up with them, I still have not received the credit as of 12/21/12! The second time I talked to them, they said it can take 7-10 days for the credit to appear in my account! Are you kidding!? you charge me on the day of shipment but do not credit my account one full week after receiving the duplicate product that was shipped because of their own mistake!? I had enough of J&R unprofessionalism in this matter! I raised the issue with AMEX and I will have them get my money back! UPDATE: J&R called me to apologize on 12/22. The shipping company records show that J&R received their duplicate shipment back on 12/14. I make 95% of my shopping online and when I return a product I receive a credit by the end of the 3rd business day after the retailer receives the return. I will let everyone know how long it will take with J&R after all this calling back and forth as well as them expediting! UPDATE: Got my money back on 12/26. 12 days after J&R received their duplicate shipment back! For comparison purposes, Crutchfield.com returned my money the next day after receiving their product (a Samsung blue-ray DVD player) back in November(and I used the same credit card). I just stated the facts so make your own decision. Oh, before I forget, J&R gave me $10 off on my next purchase."
