"AJ Madison provided the worse service experience I have ever encountered. I’m 80, so they had a major mountain to climb, but climb to the top they did. This is the sequence of blunders in delivering and installing a washer dryer to a condo in Manhattan.
1. No show and no communication that they hadn’t shown up.
2. Showed up but just left the washer/dryer on the floor. They claimed there wasn’t enough space to install it. (There was, I measured). No communication, again.
3. Installed the washer dryer but didn’t install the drip pan – just left it on the floor.
4. Agreed to reduce installation fee by 50%, which was fair. Also said they would send a UPS label to return the drip pan. Didn’t send UPS label.
5. After another call, which was terminated twice after a long wait with the message “the person hasn’t set up voice mail,” they sent UPS label. The representative said I would get a refund once they received the package. I told her that I bet I would have to call back to get the refund.
6. I waited a week and won the bet. I called back and was told the refund would be immediately posted.
7. I waited another week and called back as the refund had not posted. This time, four days later, it did.
Also, AJ Madison asked me to fill out their customer satisfaction form. I did with a write up very similar to above, minus points 6 & 7. They said they wouldn’t post it because it didn’t meet their standards.
