I needed a really silent PC. Tired of running noise reduction apps on all my acoustic tracks. Tired of hearing my PC even after I left the room.
I was skeptical in general. I shopped until I was seeing double. Then I found Silent PC. Their up front, clear info on the products they build, and their process was enticing. After a few emails back and forth, I ordered my Silent PC.
Note this was a big deal for me. It was a big purchase; the machine is important to the volunteer production work I do. I had to have a great box and had to find one fairly priced and I could not afford to be disappointed after the fact. If you didn't have to take a deep breath after that you should because for me there was a lot riding on this.
Here's the report card.
- I was promised a deliver by date. They delivered it as promised.
- I was floored by the packaging. It was obvious from the moment I started unboxing the unit that it was packed by a pro. Meticulously padded and wrapped. Even the interior of the unit was packed to ensure installed components were protected.
- Everything in the build was installed and all the discs, documentation, extra/unused parts were packaged in such a way that I could easily store them for later use.
- Clear concise instructions on unpacking, notable labeling (like my windows key), suggested registration process, EVERYTHING was covered.
- Unpacked, on the desk, moment of truth. Turned it on...panicked a little because I heard nothing (Well almost nothing but a really-really quiet machine running beyond my expectations). The operating system fired up and whammy! I had my Silent PC.
No issues, glitches, problems, notta! Just a really elegant, professional built, fast and silent custom PC.
Now the real test. After purchase service.
I am not a computer guy and had some rather goofy questions. I expected to get "read the manual dummy!" Not a chance. I got answers that were clear, courteous and got them fast. And I asked more than I thought they would have patience for. They are still there when I need them.
So, the shopping, purchase, setup, use and customer service experiences have been totally, unexpectedly outstanding. All for a really fair price to boot.
I guess you can tell I am a fan. If you are shopping for your own Silent PC, you should become a fan too."
