"HKflix is competent when it comes to shipping items out, at low cost to the customer. Heck, with orders over X dollar amount - it's often free.
Just don't expect them to honor their RMA returns policy. It's all in the details, I reckon. Here goes:
I had once ordered Hou Hsiao-Hsien Ultimate Collection. It's an eight movie set, comprised of four discs.
I had been watching said DVD, pleased with it's overall quality up until the problematic climax. Upon trying to watch the fourth disc, I ran into a hurdle. None of my players would actually play the 2 movie disc.
Having contacted the HKflix, they elected for me to send the disc in - to be replaced. I did so promptly, yet what I got in return was the same exact product I had sent in. Blasphemy.
HKflix had not replaced my disc, rather, they chose to play a game with me. It still did not work in any of my players. Sigh.
I inquired as to my predicament. They didn't seen a followup of any kind previous, to detail that they wouldn't be replacing my disc as stated. At point, they said .. "Well, it worked on our players. Perhaps you're having difficulty due to your main dvd players being gaming machines? Perhaps you could play it on your computer?"
The DVD was NTSC-ALL. Honestly.
I dismissed the issue, chiming a tune similar to: "Great, it does work on my computer. THx."
Granted, I'd much rather watch my DVD in my living room - not confined to a small desk corner."
