"Pros:
* very large selection of items

Cons:
* photos of UNrelated items are placed on each item's page, without any separation from the featured item
* primitive checkout process. Ordering through Paypal, for instance, gets your addresses (shipping and billing) both from the website and from Paypal. Paypal's address overrides the address you enter on attractivewear.net, which is pretty bad if you wanted to ship somewhere else.
* I wrote them an e-mail about the problem above, asking to ship at a different address, and never got an acknowledgment. They sent directly the "Your order has been shipped" e-mail, albeit at the correct address.
* automatic e-mails have spelling and grammar mistakes, betraying a writer not completely fluent in English
* their 1-***-***-**** phone number rang to a Verizon dealer."

"I ordered a Samsung Galaxy phone (import item) with overnight shipping. The shipping was very fast. The phone's box (not the outer package) had its seal broken, which is standard practice so that MobileCityOnline could insert a US plug adapter.
Later I had a problem with the phone and called Customer Service. The representative, Sarah, was very helpful."

"I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and was looking for a merchant that sold HP LCD monitors. Etech4sale was local, AND had the best price for my monitor on Pricegrabber.
Their web site is well-done, with up-to-date information on the number of units available in the warehouses across the US. The checkout process was easy, and I could use Paypal without having to reveal my address or credit card details.
I placed the order on a Sunday, mentioning that I will pick up the monitor myself. Etech4sale called me to confirm the order on Monday, and on Tuesday I got a call that the monitor was ready for pickup at their small store in Santa Clara.
I drove there and picked it up without any frills. Signed the paper and was out with it in under 2 minutes.
That's where the good experience STOPPED, however.
The monitor had a manufacturer defect, confirmed on HP's forum. On April 17, I put in an RMA request via the web site. No reply from etech4sale within a few days, so I called their toll-free number and kindly asked for an update - via their voicemail. There was no customer representative to take my call.
Today, One week later, no update. I called their local phone number, got the voice mail again."

"I've just ordered a Nikon Flash (~$500) from B&H Photo-Video-Pro Audio, checked out via Paypal, and noticed that they only ship to Paypal-confirmed addresses. This is a good security measure, even if somewhat of an annoyance. I got my package 2 days later.
I e-mailed the owner, Henry Posner, about this issue, and his reply was very specific and helpful. No boilerplate messages at any time!"

"I ordered a powered PDA mount with speaker for my I-Mate PDA2K. It arrived in the mail after about a week, just after I left town on a business trip.
When I got back, I tested the PDA mount and found the speaker volume was too low, therefore useless. I read Seidio's policy on returns, which states that you have 14 days to return the item, counting from the shipment date (which is downright unfair, because ground shipping already took 7 days). Unfortunately, I had been out of town and only picked up the package from the post office 1 day after my trial period would end.
I wrote to SeidioOnline explaining the situation (14 days, out of town etc.) and kindly asking to allow me to return the item. They said the return period passed. Duh! I had told them that in my e-mail.
I also wrote them that the PDA mount was in perfect condition, and I had all the accessories, but Seidio ignored me.
So I ended up paying $141.35 for a basically useless product. I mean, if you get a powered PDA mount without a speaker, it's going to cost you maybe $40 from Arkon."

"I ordered from Wirefly/Inphonic before checking the reviews on ResellerRatings.com. BAD CHOICE!!
These idiots delayed my order, until I called to check what was happening. Only then did they tell me there was some complication with my home address. I straightened that out with the customer rep, who assured me (twice!) that everything was all right and they are going to fedex the phone ASAP. One week after I go to www.whereismyorder.com and see that my order was CANCELLED. No explanation whatsoever. WTF?!
The day after I placed the order, I called Cingular and inquired about Wirefly. The cingular customer representative didn't know about Wirefly on the spot, then he claimed he needed some time to do some research... After a few minutes (on Google, I suppose), he told me they're an accredited Cingular retailer and quite a big company.
As far as I'm concerned, Wirefly/Inphonic/Whereismyoder is a fraud."

"I ordered 4 types of batteries on 2006-May-23. Two of them shipped within 2-3 weeks, but the other two were backordered and Unistorage claims they will ship one week from now. That makes it 6-7 weeks from the order date.
Besides that, the website never mentioned the batteries being back-ordered or out of stock, and Unistorage never contacted me to update the status of my order. Worse, 3 weeks after my order, they sent me an e-mail that all batteries were shipped, which was a flat LIE.
When I call them, there's no answering machine system, which suggests a small company.
I would most likely never order from them again."

"Four months after ordering my laptop, the staff at PortableOne was very helpful in assisting me with replacing my laptop with a more silent model. I was pleasantly impressed with them.
The only minor problem I experienced was when I ordered the unit: I ordered a Fujitsu N6010 with a 7200rpm hard disk because fujitsu.com did not have this hard disk. Two days later, I got an e-mail stating that the status my order has changed to manufacturer direct ship and then another one informing me that the laptop was currently not in stock.
Aside from displaying as available an item which was not in stock, the experience with PortableOne was very pleasant; the staff was very helpful in getting me this precise (and rare) configuration, and they went out of their way to make sure that I receive the laptop as soon as possible, even though there have been some problems with my credit card company."

"Quite a pleasant experience. I bought an i-mate PDA2k (a rare item in itself), and after sending the URL of a competitor offering the same item at a lower price, I got a discount from $863 to $775.
After that, I received the item in three days, in perfect condition.

"I bought a 10-pack SONY AIT2 50/130GB 8MM bulk data cartridges (SDX2-50C) (http://www.computergiants.com/items/one_item.asp?part=52451&cat=9&subsubcat=102) for $450. This was the lowest price I could find online for this precise data cartdrige in new condition.
The package arrived two days later and everything was OK: the tapes were perfectly sealed, the 10-tape box was enclosed in a bigger box filled with shock-absorbing material.
I was perfectly happy with Computer Giants."
