Doesn’t stand by pricing - accused customer of fraud for their error
"I ordered something linked to an email sent by Staples. A day later, I checked the order status only to find the order canceled. After being bounced around to a few people, I was given a series of reasons for the cancellation. The rep’s first try was that my billing address failed to verify even though the credit card showed a successful authorization. After challenging that claim, the rep claimed I used an inappropriate discount code even though the code was embedded in the marketing email sent by Staples. She did offer to sell the item at a higher price but it was higher than Amazon at that point.
To add insult to the situation, the rep informed me that she updated my profile so that I wouldn’t get the discount code. Fine with me because it will be a cold day somewhere when I order again. However, when I tried to access my account to unsubscribe from all the emails the logon resulted in a strange error. I had to call again to speak to a supervisions to have my account deleted on their end."
