"Note: This is not a reseller's website. This is the manufacturer's website. This is a small American company who recently broke off from a much larger company BBK Electronics. They don't have many products, however the products they do have are extremely unbelievable for the price range. Customer service: A human being answers the phone. I will admit, the person had a THICK asian accent, but I was able to make out what he said. After reading TONS of reviews on this DVD player they offer, I purchased it through their website. What was awesome was that during the purchasing process, they asked you questions regarding setup, specifically the model TV you have & the type of connection you will employ with the DVD player. I think thats great feedback to use for further product development. I received a confirmation email immediately, received the FedEx tracking # the next day via email, & 9 days later I received my DVD player (I was tracking it every day, lol). The only time I had to call the customer service was because I wanted to have them change the shipping address from my residence to my work address, which was no problem. While I had them on the phone, I also asked what firmware release was going to be on my DVD player, because on their website (support section) it stated that if you have a Toshiba TV, you will want the most recent firmware. They looked up my order & told me because I have a Toshiba TV (a DLP 52HM84 model), they will put the most recent firmware release before sending it. That's AWESOME! I received my DVD player, hooked it up, and Voila, worked no problem out of the box with a BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING picture, what I expected after reading tons of reviews. Check out this Home Theater Review on the DV971H I purchased: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/cgi-bin/shootout.cgi?function=search&articles=122#Oppo DigitalOPDV971H (DVI) The DVD player they currently offer has rated extremely high, coming a close second to the Denon 5910 which costs $3000. They rated the menu speed, picture quality, etc. The only problem with the player is that it doesn't give great output on anything other than the DVI port, which is no big deal. You shouldn't be spending big bucks on a DVD player if you don't have a DVI or HDMI port on your TV. Conclusion: Very trustworthy company American Solid high quality products Few Product offerings (that's apparently changing soon tho) Very trained & knowledgable technical support staff. They keep up on their firmware releases CONSTANTLY. It's like they come out with a new one once per month! That's awesome."

"Customer Service: This company is friggin awesome! I mean from start 2 finish, this company is just plain awesome. I have NEVER had a more pleasant experience regarding *customer service* than I have had with this company. They have responded 2 EVERY SINGLE EMAIL (over 20), & each one has been responded 2 same day or next day, save one). When I have called them up, either a Robert Taylor or a Keith Richards answered, which was weird because those were the same guys who responded 2 the emails, which leads me 2 believe that their customer service department is very small, but apparently very manageable. I mean, I thought the company was a scam at first because they responded so quickly, but they aren’t. I got my TV in working condition. I was EXTREMELY nervous about spending $2,317 4 ANYTHING online, but I took a leap. The TV was $1844.98, S/H was $250, & I purchased an extended warranty through their website 4 $219.99. Item of Purchase: I purchased a Toshiba 52HM84, after reading many, many reviews on this TV. I even went to Best Buy to look at the display model. I knew the product was refurbished. There is a 90 day mfg war, & I purchased the additional 4 yr warranty (Warrentech). The warranty company is good according 2 Technical Arts here in Orlando, only 2nd to Best Buy & Circuit City in warranty repairs. They rate them that high because Warrantech pays them more 4 repairs, & in my mind, that’s good because they are more willing 2 do the work. The TV did break down after 2 weeks of working. It was the Light Engine that broke, the most expensive part (I didn’t pay a red cent throughout the whole ordeal). Technical Arts ordered a Lamp, but that didn’t fix it, then they ordered a Lamp Ballast (pwr supply 4 the lamp), & that didn’t work, then they took it 2 their shop 2 do further diagnosis. The painful part was it took about a month 4 the lamp ballast 2 come in because Toshiba didn’t have any (out of stock). Wanna know something funny? Philips makes the lamp ballast 4 the TV, & here I was thinking they were ordering the part from Japan, lol. Technical Arts doesn’t deal with Toshiba TV’s much, so it was hard 2 make the proper diagnosis. They do deal with Samsung & Panasonic’s all the time, which leads them 2 believe that Toshiba TV’s are better in quality. All in all, it’s been unfunctional 4 the last 1.5 months, however when it was in the shop, Technical Arts had another identical model in there (the 2nd Toshiba DLP they’ve ever worked with), & swapped parts until they found out it was the light engine was the cause of the malfunction. They confirmed that the TV worked, no problem. Price: I was EXTREMELY nervous about spending $2,317 4 ANYTHING online, but I took a leap. The TV was $1844.98, S/H was $250, & I purchased an extended warranty through their website 4 $$219.99. The total was $2,317 delivered UP A FLIGHT OF STAIRS 2 my apt. Refurb Electronics uses a very weird company 2 deliver my TV, Team Air, which made me apprehensive because I’ve never heard of them. The guy from that company did show up however. What was awesome was that Refurb Electronics gave me EXPLICIT instructions on how 2 receive the TV from them. Right down 2 inspecting the box before signing the Bill of Lading. I paid $250 for what they call White Glove Delivery, & that means Team Air is supposed 2 stay 4 the whole deal, setting up the TV, making sure it works, etc; however that guy called me up before delivering & asked if he needed another guy 2 help him get it up the flight of stairs. I didn’t mind helping him out, so I told him don’t bring the second guy. I gave the guy a break, & after he brought it up the stairs, he wanted 2 bolt right then & there. I had 2 tell him he needs 2 stay until I inspect the box & get it setup. Conclusion: I had to to explain this all to my fiancé who was annoyed at the fact that we didn’t have a working big screen for some time, lol. What she had 2 remember is that these companies that sell refurb merchandise purchase from the manufacturer, or whatever outlet, & my TV was a Toshiba Authorized product (as I called Toshiba, gave them my serial number, & they confirmed it was a *Toshiba Refurbished Certified TV*). As much as I wanted 2 blame my inconvenience of an improperly functioning TV on Refurb Electronics, it’s not their fault. If Technical Arts properly diagnosed the problem 2 begin with, I would have been without a TV 4 a whole week & a half, instead of a month & a half. All in all, u can’t friggin beat the fact that I paid $2,300 bucks 4 a TV where the MSRP is $3,300 (not including tax which would have hiked it up to $3,500 to $3,560). 2 add more value, I have a 90 mfg warranty coupled with a 4yr extended warranty, whereas if u bought it retail u would only have a 2 yr mfg warranty. I saved over a $1,000 friggin bucks if u look at it that way. Just bought an Oppo DV971H DVD player, & I can’t wait to hook it up to it, yeah!"
