"I see a long list of five-star reviews and suspect that Timepiece may be writing some of their own "glowing" reviews. My experience with them, however, was terrible. In fact, I would categorize this as the worst retail experience I ever had. (Check out older reviews and you'll see my story is not singular.) When the Hamilton Jazzmaster arrived, it was clearly defective because the moment I opened the box, I saw that the second hand jumped at five-second intervals. They told me to take it to a local jeweler. (Strange. Why not just allow me to return it?) When our jeweler couldn't get the case back off, I was finally told to return it. (These were the only two times I could get through to anyone during a four-week period.) Next, they emailed that they would "repair" it under their warranty plan. Repair it? Warranty plan? I hadn't even put it on my wrist yet! It was supposed to be new. I challenged the transaction through PayPal who, after carefully analyzing both sides of the case, ruled in my favor. Before you consider buying from Timepiece.com, keep in mind that they make no effort at customer service. They do not answer their phones during business hours and the voice mail box is usually full, so no message can be left. And forget a response from them if you send an email! This strikes me as a fly-by-night operation. (Picture some guy operating out of his apartment.) If, after reading this, you still want to buy from them, all I can say is good luck--and hope that you aren't sent defective merchandise that needs immediate repair."
