Wow...First Time Customer Discovers a Fraudulent Company! Beware!
"Have never ordered from this company before, but saw a catalogue and there were items that I wanted. Decided to order since it seemed to be a "Family Owned" Business which I like. From the outset it was obvious that the customer service personal was unprofessional and lacked knowledge! The guy taking my order kept coughing in my ear on the phone like a smoker with asthma and he took about 30 minutes to finally get my order right. Then he began to get my info for the credit account. During this process, his phone went out...I could hear him talking at times, but he could not hear me...and he wasn't aware that I could head him talking and his complaining about the phone and which button he needed to push to get back to me...and even talking about me as a customer because I was asking questions about products and my order! Um hello! I am the customer and I am buying from your company for the first time...so he's I have questions. Finally, after not being able to figure out how to get back to me...he hung up! So...I called back...got another customer service representative. I explained what happened and she looked up my order...fortunately IG was there and had been saved...and despite the fact that the credit process had not been completed...she said that all was good...order was placed and everything went through. The next day...I get an email that my order needed more attention. So I called again...talked to another representative. Told her the situation and she looked it up...she said they just needed to verify my address...the she said all was good and the order should ship...but I would get confirmation email. Today I get another email...order not shipped! Apparently my credit was not approved due to insufficient info? Well again...that process was not completed before the original guy lost phone contact. So yeah...it probably was incomplete! I go online to zee if they pulled a credit report...YES they did?! That permission was not given by me!! It is illegal...now granted...had the process been completed...in the end I would have been asked if I authorized that credit Che k. And since I was seeking credit I would have given permission. However, the process was not complete and NO permission given! I am contacting the BBB in reference to this company's practices as well as the Credit Bureau and a lawyer! The most reprehensible part is the way I was treated by this last customer service representative when I followed up with them after today's email. SHE TOLD ME that I could not have credit because of credit problems and that I would have to make payment before the order would ship. I tried to explain what happened originally and that all information was not obtained...but she would not hear me! She kept rudely cutting me off and she treated me like dirt...Finally I said...Just Cancel the Order...I can get the items another place.and not be talked to like a dog! Her response? Oh well...Okay! Non problem. No apology...Nothing! Unbelievable how the company has supposed to be in operation on since the 1920's! Well...I can tell you...I will pursue every possible avenue for violation of US Credit Regulations! My advice...Run, Run from even think I of ordering from this company. I wish I had read the reviews before I got involved or placed an order! Never again!!"
