The word incompetence frankly doesn't do Lenovo justice
"I have made two purchases from Lenovo's website, one for a thousand-dollar gaming PC and another for three sets of headphones. Of these, one set of headphones had an issue within two days of purchase. *None* of my purchased products show in my (only) account using the exact email address and password used to make the purchase, either under owned products *or* under past orders. Getting a replacement part took over a month of back and forth with their customer service and even now, multiple months later, not one of the products I have purchased from them shows on my account. But what they can do is spam you like crazy with around one email every three days, even after trying their unsubscribe links multiple times. Avoid them like the plague, this is hands-down the least competent retailer I have *ever* had the displeasure to deal with."
"I could not be less satisfied with my experience with Tanga.com. My wife purchased a lens-shaped thermal mug from them for one of my Christmas presents. It was incredibly cheaply made, to the point that it lasted less than 24 hours, during which time it was used for a grand total of two drinks, and gently hand-washed a single time.
Even though I never screwed the lid on tightly, and there is no visible damage to the screw threads, within less than a day it simply spins loosely and never tightens. That means the lid cannot be used, because my drink comes out through the screw threads and pours down the front of my shirt when I take a sip.
My wife contacted Tanga to arrange a return, and was told that despite the product clearly being faulty and lasting less than a day, we would have to pay not only the return shipping, but also the shipping cost to ourselves in the first place.
That shipping cost was an exhorbitant $5 on a $9 item for USPS delivery, and I should note that the package arrived badly dented as well. So by the time we are expected to pay the return cost as well, we would be paying the entire purchase price of the item just to get it sent back, without even getting a replacement. (And to get that replacement, we were told we'd have to order all over again, paying the shipping cost for the replacement too, although obviously given that it is poorly-made junk there is no point getting a replacement.)
We'll be filing a dispute with Paypal, and will be advising family and friends not to do business with this ripoff merchant, which doesn't stand behind the junk it sells for even one second."
"Very quick to ship, phones are competitively priced, and received well-packaged. A nice touch: since my phone was the international version and had a UK plug, they included a UK-to-US plug adapter free of charge. Their customer service skills are exemplary: Expansys staff hang out in the XDA forums, where they quickly answer questions and solve issues. (In fact, my purchase from them in the first place happened because they tipped me off at XDA to the fact they'd just received the HTC One X in stock.) I've not needed to talk to them about returns, refunds etc., but given how well they've performed both pre- and post-sale in other areas, I'm sure they'd be trustworthy and fair here too.
I will definitely be doing business with Expansys again; most likely in a few weeks when the speaker dock, car kit, and official cases for my phone start shipping.
Update: Bought the car dock kit, too. My second purchase with Expansys, and again I couldn't be more satisfied. They were quick to ship, packed the item well, and even went out of their way to contact me and ask if I'd like to downgrade to a cheaper shipping option since the item came into stock sooner than expected, and would arrive well before the date I'd indicated I needed it. Fantastic service, and they saved me money too! :-)"
