"Bait & Switch. I ordered a Sony DCR-VX2100 MiniDV Digital Handycam Camcorder for $1,099. Jason (the "sales rep") told me that this was the basic model, which didn't include battery, charger, or firmware! Immediate bells go off. I don't like being led to believe (by vague or misleading websites) that you are purchasing something that you can use right out of the box. However, when he said the firmware was not included with this model, to me, that means the "operating software" that any microchip driven device musst have in order to be functionial. And when asked that question, Jason confirmed such was the case. I've bought a lot of camcorders, since I teach media tech, and use them myself... but I had no idea that any reputable vendor would sell such an item without the "operating software". Jason said he could fix that for me if I wanted to include all those things... for only $2,800. What a SCAM! needless to say, I'll never do business with Best Price Cameras, a.k.a., Photo Dynasty, or whatever they call themselves, and I intend to make it my personal business from now on to widely broadcast my dissatisfaction with this group of bait & switch scam artists."
