Pushy salesman, ignored appointment, give incorrect information so as not to honor warranty.
"I made a tire balance appointment days before arriving. Walk-ins were serviced before me and my vehicle went into the bay 25 minutes after my appointment time. Wesley G Spurgeon called me over and indicated that the tires were worn. Too worn to even rebalance and the vibration I was feeling was because the tread was so thin it was transferring the road roughness to the steering wheel. After a good laugh I told him what the tread depth was. He reversed direction and said the tires were worn to the wear bars. I told him to look again. I have decades of experience in the automotive industry and knew the exact condition of my tires. So then he states that just the rear tires were really worn. But here is a good deal we can make for a new set of 4 tires he says. So I asked what the prorated price would be since the 65K mileage warranty was short by over 30K miles. He said that without receipts for rotation and rebalancing he could not honor the warranty. So I asked if tires that were evenly worn would qualify. He said no. So to him a piece of paper tells more than the tire itself. These tires were rotated and I was waiting until they got to the wear bars before attempting to get the warranty honored. In the past they rejected the warranty because they said the tires weren't worn to the wear bars. He could have said sorry but that's our policy or would you like to talk to the manager, but he chose to spout nonsense. Obviously, can't win here. I said, no thanks, no more discussion, just rebalance. After the rebalance he showed me some slight feathering on the front wheels. He said this was probably the vibration and I needed new tires. Finally, I get out of there and low and behold there is no more vibration even at speed on the interstate. To sweeten the experience, I now had a brake pedal pulsation when firmly applying the brakes. A classic result of uneven lug nut torque. So when I got home I had to back off and retorque the lug nuts to spec. So much for the wisdom and skill at Discount Tire. Due to their assumption that I was not knowledgeable and they could insult my intelligence, good old Wesley has lost Discount Tire the sales for all 3 of my cars."

Dismal customer service from several employees
"Found some hardware on buymbs.com. Concerned that the picture was a stock photo I called and asked to confirm some details. Sales person said they had to look in the warehouse. I was put on hold for 10 seconds, yes 10 SECONDS, after which they came back and said yes the picture was exactly what was for sale. This made me suspicious. I called the part's original manufacturer and inquired about the details of the part. They told me something different than MBS (Modern Builders Supply). So I called mbs.com again and got a different person. They said they would look at a part and email me a response. The email never came (waited 6 hours). I called again and mentioned the email. I was told it was sent but bounced back. I reasked my first question and was told the part was like the picture. When I told them the manufacturer had said otherwise I was told they would look into it. They sent me emails claiming the most absurd details about the part. Anyone who isn't a complete moron would have realized that these people have no idea what they're selling. The next day I asked to talk to someone above customer service. They said they were the head of customer service and would look into it again. Two days later I get another email saying they didn't stock the part as shown in the picture. What a complete waste of time dealing with this company. Watch out because they are just a distributor trying to move product. I recommend going somewhere else and dealing with people who know the product, have a history in manufacturing, and are truthful."

Poor customer service and cheap product.
"There was a big difference between what was on their website and what I received. The product was a cheap import hyped up as a quality product. It performed horribly and was a joke. Customer service said it was a great part and they owned several. Any real mechanic would be totally disappointed. Redline Engineering made it extremely difficult to return the part and got nasty in emails back to me. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and will NEVER buy from them again. The BBB should take a close look at their tactics. Just take a look at all their conditions of sale and wonder why they have so many hurdles to make it painful for a customer to return a part. Maybe they should stop selling junk so their customers wouldn't be disappointed. Just another scam business out to make a buck no matter what."

Very low quality products and difficult customer service.
"Purchased several different items, some electronic, some not. They sent a wrong item as well. The electronics were really low end. Stopped working after a week. The advertisements and reviews of the items I got did not agree at all with the stuff I was sent. They made me send pictures in multiple emails and repeatedly asked the same questions. I spent over 2 hours with the claim emails and never got what I ordered."

Slow on the shipping.
"I eventually got what I ordered but the shipping was slow and one item that showed "In Stock" when ordered was listed as back ordered on the invoice I got with another item."
