A big bully
"I bought a 16lb ball for $148 and shipped to Vpost US address. From there I paid another $60 to get it shipped to Singapore. Upon reaching Singapore, I realised I was given a 15lb ball. Now Bowling.com said they are paying me back $30 for their mistake and wishing that I will be able to sell off my 15 lb here in Singapore. Because of their mistake I have to pay for shipping charges again if I want to buy a 16lb ball and had to pay a full price ball again. Now they said it is not their fault that the ball was shipped out of US! This is the extract from the customer service “I am very sorry. As I said before, if this was in Oregon still we could replace this at no charge but the reason we cannot replace this is because it is now forwarded to Singapore. The ball was incorrect and we have admitted that is our fault, but the ball being out of the country now is not our fault and we should not have to pay extra shipping cost to ship this internationally because it went out of the country. I understand it is not fair for you to have to pay these fees but it is not something we can cover. ” I am asking bowling.com, if i used the international shipping service that the website is offering and if when the ball reach singapore and it is wrong spec and wrong weight, is it the consumer have to bear bowling.com mistake. This is so unreasonable. If I cannot managed to sell away the 15 lb ball (which most likely will not be able to do it in Singapore alley, not a usual practice here), then i have to pay another $148 for another 16 lb ball ($118 minus off the $30 discount) and i have to fork out another 80 SGD for the courier fee. That is too ridiculous. This is called a bully in my own term. No way this is near to acceptable. I will update the the forum here if there is any other new development in this case. Final outcome Bowling.com felt that it was not their fault that I shipped the wrong Bowling ball to Singapore. Their miserable 30Usd remains. I will never buy anything from Bowling.com again. One more lesson learned, use PayPal so that there is dispute arrangement. Commercial banks said since dealer did reply that is not a dispute. A***"
