"I wanted to drop you guys a line to let you know how happy I am with my recent upgrade experience.
I received the upgrade kit about an hour and a half ago and have installed the additional hard drive plus the advanced cooling pack. The instructions were SUPERB and everything fit together as it was supposed to.
I heard about your site from Kevin Rose on (formerly) Tech TV's "The Screen Savers" and was very impressed with your site. No junk, just practical, intuitive and all the information on it was accurate.
Yours is probably not the cheapest solution available, but a quality product plus intelligible directions and knowing what to expect easily outweigh any other DIY option that I can think of.
When I powered up my unit (DSR704) after the upgrade, after normal housekeeping I found all my settings were intact as advertised and the Tivo was now aware of all the new capacity available to it."
