"Nice products, OK prices, but terribly slow delivery. I made the order on December 19th, and the first correspondence I got from them was on January 5th - 16 days after I made the order! They were Happy to advise me that the order was shipped! No excuses. When I asked, what's up, they told me: "holiday time!"."

"This is an update for the store review in the quotes, which I wrote recently. The good news: butterflyphoto apparently do care about the customers opinion! A month after the purchase I was contacted by a representative of the store: Steven, who explained, that the PassportWarranty I bought from them is not backed by the terrible RepairTech company (which is out of business, btw), but by ButterFlyPhoto itself, since a year ago. So, the investment I've made into the warranty is hopefully not lost. Combined with my previous appreciation of the high quality of ButterFlyPhoto service, it brings my overall attitude to the company back to a high level. "I was a happy customer with butterfly photo until recently, when I bought nikon 18-200 VR lens from them with 3 Yr Passport warranty. It all would be good and nice, but I couldn't register the warranty during the first 10 days after the purchase, because of going on a trip, and was unable to get to the customer support of the infamous repairtech, who sells the warranty, by phone. I learned, when I came back from the trip, that the repairtech is a terrible company, which lost its BBB license and does not provide good service at all (rating ~1 at here, at this web site). Butterfly photo refused to take the warranty back, referring to their exception rules for the warranty. My problem with them, is that I made the purchase by phone, and their representitive advertised the warranty as being great (as later on, did their 2 other customer support operators), and he failed to inform me, that the warranty cannot be returned (even if I returned the camera). Basically, my believe in their good service was used to sell me something really bad, knowing I cannot send it back. My previous purchases I luckily (unfortunately?) didn't have to deal with the support/returns/etc. But the prices are good, and if you're absolutely sure what you're buying and don't plan returning it, the store is decent.""

"I'm very disappointed with the service they provided. My order consisted of 3 items, all of them indicated in the stock. Two of them were shipped 10 days after the order and no information was given on the 3rd one. I had to call, 2 weeks after the order was placed, to learn that the 3rd item is out of stock and I can cancel or wait. The call to representative was easy and nice though."

"I tried to purchase a laptop from them. I needed the order to be delivered to a shipping address, different from the billing one, and both of them registered with the credit card company. I made two phone calls and was assured that it won't be a problem, as long as they are on the credit card. But in about two hours after I placed the order, their fraud dep. requested the copies of my driver license and credit card (both sides), refusing to continue without this information. It would be fine, if they won't be so "nice" talking to me before for 2 days, about 30 mins total, telling that it won't happen. I'm totally disappointed."

"Purchased LQ141F1LH23 laptop screen which was said to be compatible with Toshiba Tecra M2 (as on some other sites as well). 1) Well... Only partially. It does fit, but the data bus connector is at a location where the laptop bus cannot reach. I made it eventually, but had to change smth in my laptop (it's old anyway). 2) The first screen I got was broken and even though they exchanged it, I had a couple of nervous days, when nobody would pick up a phone at all. 3) They obviously changed the power connector for the screen themselves to fit Toshiba's scree power cable! Make your own conclusions, but I definitely won't shop with them again."

"I got SANYO PLV-Z5 from them for an absolutely cheapest price I could find in Internet. In addition to the price the service was just wonderful - they spent more than an hour to help me to choose the projector and their advices were really helpful (even though I spent around 2 nights before reading through reviews any way)! It was delivered on time as well."

"Absolutely charming! They delivered the magnetic board I ordered in 1 day as promised (and shipped the same day as I ordered as well). I didn't report on a small dent on the surface, but they themselves called me couple of days later to ask if I was satisfied with the order and when I mentioned the dent suggested to exchange it. Next day I had a new board! One of the greatest services I'm aware about!"
