"Ordered RAZR V3 Battery Door through Motorola/Digital River. Nothing fancy, should have been easy. It's been almost a month and even though my credit card was charged I have not received the item. There is no phone # or e-mail address to contact. I filled out a form on their website but they do not respond. Thank god it was such a cheap order. Digital River is an order/billing service a lot of companies use. In the future I will not purchase from a company that uses Digital River."

"I needed some emergency network equipment for a large customer of mine and selected next-day shipping. Ordered was cancelled because "part not available." Ambry.com really put me in a bind. Not recommended for important orders."

"I recommend Symantec security products to all my customers. The tech support is pretty weak so it's a good idea to only use their software if you are skilled with a computer or you pay a computer guy to help. The real reason for my comment is to complain about DigitalRiver.com (DR). Whenever you order a Symantec product online for download, you are actually downloading through a middle-man: DR. DR caps the download speeds at 30kb/sec. That's pretty frustrating for my customers since it means they have to pay more for a longer visit."

"Directron used to be good - recently, they've been very unreliable. I purchased 2 sets of refurbished speakers that came in the same condition they were returned in. Parts were missing and there were even some extra parts from something else. These were not reFURBISHED. These were returns that had not been touched. Directron, you used to be awesome, when did you decide to screw customers over?"

"Man what a nightmare. I thought ordering from BestBuy.com would be a much easier experience than shopping in their B&M store, especially just a few days before Christmas. "Ordered 2 mice for my thinkpad t41 - usb optical and a cordless/optical mini mouse. Everything is high quality but it was weird that they shipped the mice separately. One was shipped the day after the first one. Oh well, another trip to the building office - but seriously, I would have waited another day to have them ship together. Weird. The T41's battery stopped working - getting a warranty replacement was pretty painless. The service was a million times better than Dell's. I gotta jack up my rating just for the best customer service I've ever had (and it was across 3 phone calls... I've spoken with Dell hundreds of times and haven't had 3 positive experiences)"

"Ordered a replacement battery charger for my digital camera on 11/24/04 but was sent the wrong item. Monarch didn't really make much of an effort to track down the problem and fix it - after I sent repeated e-mails and scans to prove their mistake, they agreed for a full refund and even supplied a return mailing label. 6 weeks after the order was placed it should finally be resolved and refunded."

"Ordered a Nikon D70 ($1,200 digital SLR) advertised as new. Camera was obviously used/refurbished - manuals were damaged, accessories all had wear and were not in their original wrapping, camera body not in mint condition. Had to call and listen to the rudest customer service person ever - Tony. So I get the used camera because I turned down all the accessories that I already had? Shop elsewhere, don't go through this too."

"I ordered a SY-P4IS2 motherboard for $30... shipping was a bit expensive at $8. Order was missing the I/O back plate so I called, they sent it out, and I got it a week later. If this had been a rush order for one of my customers, I would have gone insane on Soyo. But it wasn't so I'll cut them a break."

"I had a great experience ordering I needed a firewall in a pinch for one of my small business customers and ordered a HotBrick firewall from Eagle at a great price. I called to make sure it would arrive in time... I got voicemail but I got a call back a few hours later confirming it would ship in time. Kudos for the customer service and personal touch. I got the firewall ahead of schedule, everything worked great, and what could have been a very stressful situation turned out perfect. I will definitely use Eagle in the future - any vendor that helps my business run better is my favorite kind of vendor."
