Overcharged for item and can't get a refund
"I was charged $20 for shipping when it should have been free shipping for a large ticket item well over $50. I've made multiple calls requesting that I receive a refund and am told every time that it is being processed but it never is. At each subsequent call I'm told that there's no record of me calling asking for a refund. One time I called I was disconnected or perhaps could I have been hung up on. Now I'm told yet again that it's being processed and I should get my $20 refund. This is call #4. I'll see if it actually happens this time. Don't ever order anything from this company. As others have said, I wish I read the reviews because I'd never have ordered from them in the first place. Amazon is so much better-efficient, honest and if there's a problem with the merchandise they refund immediately and are pleasant to deal with. I feel like the customer service people at Lilian Vernon just lie on the phone to get you off. Terrible company. How do they stay in business. Awful!!!"
