"I will never order from Lenovo again. They took two months to ship my laptop, even though I cancelled the order after 30 days of no shipment. Still waiting for a refund. Their reps are a very good example of what not to do, lying to me multiple times during the process and giving me conflicting info.
3/15 Order placed for scratch and dent Thinkpad T420.
3/28 Lenovo customer support says laptop will be shipped "tomorrow."
3/30 Lenovo rep says ship "by end of week."
4/4 Elevate to manager who "looks into issue" and promises "resolution in 1-2 business days."
4/9 I follow up with manager. He still does not have any idea if my order is in stock or not.
4/11 Manager follows up with me, still "looking into it."
4/13 Manager says order "will be shipped today."
4/16 I receive a curious automated email from Lenovo: "Due to the overwhelming demand for the Lenovo products you ordered, we have been unable to ship all or part of your order... Federal regulations require us to automatically cancel your order for which you will receive a full refund."
4/17 I order a new in box comparable Asus Laptop for cheaper. Call Lenovo and try to cancel. Rep says I must wait for shipment to return laptop for a refund. I demand that they cancel and cite the email saying it's possible.
5/8 I receive a package from UPS. Noticing it has Lenovo on the box I refuse to sign for it and the driver says it will be returned to sender.
5/9 Credit card charged for cancelled laptop.
5/11 I call Lenovo and demand a refund. The rep is confused because their system does not show laptop was returned. As a workaround the rep starts the RMA process and I receive an email saying I must return the laptop."
