"I wish I had read the one-star reviews here before sending my iPhone 5 to Nextworth, a company I'll never do business with again.
They gave me a quote of $118, so I sent them the phone, which was in perfect working condition - I had been using it until two weeks before when I decided I wanted the larger iPhone 6 Plus. A few days later, they sent an email telling me the iPhone "has been reduced to $70.80" because it wasn't fully functional.
I replied that I wanted to know exactly what was wrong with the phone because it was fully functional when I sent it to them. Here is their response: “The inspector noted that there is a problem with the touch screen, their note was that it freezes during use. The most that I can offer you is $93.00, if this is acceptable please let me know.”
I think that tells you something right there: why didn't they reduce the price to $93.00 instead of $70.80 in the first place?
At any rate, the offer wasn't acceptable, I didn't believe their assessment, and I asked them to return the iPhone, which they did. I turned on the phone and set it up again and, as I suspected, it's been working perfectly.
So draw your own conclusions, but think twice before trusting your device to Nextworth."
