"On 10/16/15, I placed an order online for a pair of Paul Yaffe handlebars, along with the extension wires & cables necessary to complete the install. I followed up with an email on 10/19/15. I also made telephone contact with Steve (a sales rep), shortly after the enail. Steve assured me verbally (and via email), that the parts mentioned, would in fact fit my bike, 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special. On 10/23/15, the shipment arrived at 6:37 pm. I immediately took the parts to my mechanic, at Nations Cycle Center. Upon opening the box, my mechanic noticed immediately that the brake/clutch cables were not in the box. The following day (10/24/15), the mechanic called me to tell me that the handlebars did not fit. The factory bars are 1" in diameter at the rise. The Paul Yaffe bars are 1 1/4" at the rise. On 10/26/15, I sent an email to directcycleparts.com explaining the dilemma. I also followed up with a phone call to directcycleparts.com. I spoke to Steve (sales rep), who seemed suprised that the bars didn't fit. He went on to defend the statement, stating that the manufacturer (Paul Yaffe), had told him those were the appropriate bars for my bike. He told me he would call the manufacturer and that he would call me back in an hour and a half. I again called Steve at 4:00 PM (6 hrs later). Steve explained that the bars that I have, would not fit, and he may get appropriate part in 2-3 weeks. I reminded him that my bike was in the shop, disassembled. At that point he offered an alternative bar that is comparable to the bars that I ordered. He further stated that he would call me tomorrow 10/27/15, to give me a final answer. I'd like to point out, that prior to placing an order with directcycleparts.com, I placed an order through a local Harley Davidson shop for Paul yaffe handlebars on 7/6/15. The bars have been on back order. After finding and placing current order, I cancelled the previous order, confident that I would receive the bars. Getting back to the "Customer Satisfaction" survey....I feel that the staff at directcycleparts.com has been dishonest. First of all, the bars in question HAS BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR AT LEAST 120 DAYS!!! This appears to be accross the country. My point is, enough of these bars are being sold whereas ANY distributor should be WELL VERSED, as to what the bars will (and will not) FIT!! The bottom lime is...directcycleparts.com has my $500 In THEIR account, and I'm at a $500 disburstment... and NO BARS. Now, they want to compensate me. But, let's keep in mind, their account is still +$500.00. So, I'm in the losing circle, with the short end of the stick! The ball is in their court! I have yet to see how all this will play itself out. In the spirit of "Keeping the customer satisfied" or "Good Business", I would like to see this resolved amicably. And, as quickly as possible. I would also like to see directcycleparts.com compensate me by offering a credit or "Gift Certificate" for $100-$200 to compensate me for this nightmare! This is not my first walk in the park. However, I'm accustomed to being COMPENSATED. Because companies LOVE valuable, consistent, and loyal customers! That's what I am. I am an asset to ANY retail company. Here's an example.... I love to customize my motorcycles. I enjoy it. I spent $30,000 in parts, customizing my last motorcycle. This motorcycle is BRAND NEW. And, I've just began to customize it. Furthermore, I value good customer service!! In closing....let's hope that directcycleparts.com DOES THE RIGHT THING. At the end of the day.....that's all I want. So, if you send me another "Customer Satisfaction" survey in seven (7) days, perhaps we can revisit the zero (0) stars that I give directcycleparts.com, at this time."

Hello,

The handlebars and wire extensions you returned were refunded the same day we got them back. I do not have any orders for cables on file for you.

We apologize that the fitment specs given to us by the supplier were incorrect on the handlebars. The fitment on the new bikes is still being worked out by the manufacturers and we can only give you what we have.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please do no hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
