"This is the second time I have dealt with Fujitsu sales and support, and I must say that although their service is good, Fujitsu's back-end systems are horrendous. I placed an order three weeks ago and the technician said everything was ready to go. I called three weeks later wondering if they had shipped my cd-rom drive, but none of the representatives could find my order.
Secondly, placing an order is quite cumbersome. Apparently, Fujitsu utilizes the serial number on the laptop to order correct parts. This becomes a bit difficult since there are various numbers on the back. Why can't I just give the support personnel the model and be done with it?
Thirdly, Fujitsu seems to have various order databases all over the place. The Japanese system is not tied in with the US system. The US system is split into two. This becomes hellacious when the customer wants to get updates to an order.
It's a pity, really. I like Fujitsu notebooks, but they still need a lot of work to get up to par with major IT vendors."
"PC Connection went over and beyond all of my expectations. Their web site provides accurate information on the product and inventory. I called in just to make sure and placed an order via phone. The representative was able to provide specific information about my options and ETAs. Two previous suppliers were both unable to deliver or provide correct info and time was beginning to be of the essence. On the other hand, PC Connection called me several times to confirm and update the status of my order. This really gave me a peace of mind under a time crunch.
I asked for overnight delivery and, indeed, received the laptop the next day. The value was even better than competitors and even the original manufacturer. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the entire experience.

"I would have to agree with nottestuser. I ordered a Fujitsu S6120D laptop on Nov. 6, 2003. The product page still indicates that they have this model in stock. I called four days later because I didn't receive a confirmation or tracking number. They told me that they ran out of stock and are expecting shipment Nov. 14, 2003.
Okay, that's still within my threshold for pain. On Nov. 13, 2003, I decided that I would just go and pick up the laptop on Friday instead and gave them another call. Opps, now Fujitsu postponed this to Nov. 17, 2003. Ughh...alright, fine. I'll wait a few more days.
After a few days, I couldn't wait any longer. I am going on a trip before Thanksgiving and need a laptop. I gave them one final call. Opps!! Fujitsu has delayed it again to Nov. 28, 2003. Are you kidding me!?!? Cancel! Cancel!
Thanks for wasting my time. It's unfortunate that they have a high rating, I was expecting much more. The only email I received was the one after I made the order; no follow up about delays or ETA (very poor). Real-time, online inventory is completely false (very bad). Poor vendor management, if I were Global, I'd slam a hammer down on Fujitsu (very poor). Only thing that was good was call-in support, I never had to wait to talk to a live person and service was always fast and quick (very good). Too bad it didn't work out. Loss of business revenue, $1800 (very bad)."

Support was very prompt in pointing out that deliveries can only be made to billing or approved addresses. Within a day after that correction, the order was shipped and I received the order within the two day period. I'm very pleased with the service and delivery and would purchase more from them in the future."
