"Amateurish. Granted, they are pretty much the only game in town.
Don't expect to receive your funds "instantly" or anywhere close. The website makes no effort to help you get things right or warn you of pitfalls.
As far as I know I did everything right, the funds were withdrawn from my account but I received no bitcoins, just a message "Order failed - please contact ****@****".
They expect me to contact them to get it fixed. They apparently don't monitor their own system.
In summary, don't expect bitinstant to take your money as seriously as a bank would. It's risky. But since there is little alternative you wouldn't be crazy for trying them anyway. Just know the risk.
It remains to be seen whether bitinstant fixes my order. In order to receive a good review from me they will have to waive their 2% fee for my trouble.
Edit - I did get a reply within a few hours, and they did complete the transaction. They did not refund any fees however, and the exchange rate went up significantly before the transaction completed.
I've asked them to refund fees, and will update again if they do."
