Trees died and store credit didnt cover cost of replacement.
"I ordered three trees in fall 2017. I also ordered the 1 year plant guarantee (which is kind of ridiculous that you have to pay for). Two of the three trees didn't survive the first winter. One struggled from the beginning, one did well initially, but failed to leaf out in spring and the third is doing well. I contacted fast growing trees and was promptly given a store credit for the two trees that had died.
I ordered the exact same two trees as the ones that died, one of them was "on sale"" for 30% off and the other was "full price." I had free shipping on the order. And after the credit was applied, I still had to pay $49.99. I don't think I should have had to pay anything for and even replacement, especially since you have to pay for the warranty to begin with.
I understand the store credit, maybe the trees were ill suited for the environment and so you want to replace it with something else. Makes sense, issue a credit. But you should have the option for either the credit or an even replacement. It isn't right that I had to pay for the trees initially, pay for warranty in case they don't survive and then have to pay to replace the trees with the exact same thing when they died. Of course, I paid for the warranty again. Given the past experience with 30% survival rate, there was no way I was not going to do that. Although, it obviously wont cover the cost of a full replacement if they don't survive,"
