"DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! purchased 2 power adapaters for myself and 1 for my mother as a present. I placed two orders one for myself and one for her. The next thing i knew I get an e-mail from the company accusing me of fraud containing the following language: "Your payment of (US) $12.95 by credit card was rejected. Overseas Best Buy, Inc. Double orders to different shipping addresses are encoutered by our fraud department as fradulent activity. Therefore neither or your orders could be accepted by our system." I called the company immediately and was transferred to Mr. Manoj Tantuwaya, president of the company, who accused me of being a fraud over the phone. I politely explained that what the orders were for, since my mother and i will be both travelling this holiday season I believed that the power adapter would be a nice surprise. He refused to believe me and raised his voice and was downright rude. This is no way to run a company. His treatment of me as a customer was downright abusive!

I have purchased several products and will always go back to them to check out what I will need, when I have travel to another country. My favorite part is that you can get nice, simple adapters that work just right. And for just a couple bucks. In the past I have bought the big complicated "worldwide" things. "I purchased a Philips universal DVD player. The player worked but the remote did not and the back battery compartment was damaged. I contacted them by phone two different times for an RMA # but they wouldn't provide one. Said it wasn't necessary. They sent the same remote back which still does not work with a lecture about how I should have obtained an RMA # and that the remote's back cover was damaged in shipment and it wasn't their fault.

I was charged $61.50 for shipping a 10lb box, which at that time I had no idea I was being extorted since subsequently I have shipped up to 30 lbs to the same APO for less then $30. "Unfortunately I'm very disappointed in the product quality and the customer service of 110220V.
1.) Poor customer service
I ordered: 110-220V power converters expedited shipping in 2-3days. I paid with the credit card of my mother in law since we just moved to Canada and I didn't have a new credit card yet. I received a confirmation of the order. One week after the order I called customer service ... and they hadn't acted on the order due to their fraud protection policy. How about contacting me?
2.) Unkept promises.
After calling in, customer service promised(!) the order would arrive in 2 days, because I needed them on day 3. They arrived in the evening of day 3 ... The customer service refused to consider reimbursing the cost for expedited shipping.
3.) Poor quality devices
2 of the devices (CKT-230B) broke shortly after receiving them, even though I used them well below their specification.
4.) Very poor customer service.
I sent them back after customer service told me they would refund the cost for these 2 converters.
Lucky that I read the small print that says they would reject any device that doesn't have a RMA-number. I got an RMA number from the customer service and sent it. UPS confirmed that the package had been delivered ... I contacted customer service 3 weeks later. Customer service told me I hadn't sent it in the original packaging and therefore they couldn't do anything with the devices. After a long discussion over the phone the customer service manager finally agreed to reimburse 50% of the purchase price of the 2 broken devices that I had sent back.
But where to buy power converters from? I now have Power converters from "Hammond Power Solutions Inc.". Since I got them through my work and they bought them 10years ago, I don't know if they still offer them and how much they would be."

Order was placed on 7/15/09, item was listed as in stock on their website. After a week and no shipping conformation I called them. At that time the customer service rep assured me that the parts were in stock, someone in the warehouse had made a mistake, and the item would be shipping that day. Another week passed and still no shipping conformation. I called a second time, same story, the part is in stock and should ship that day. When I did not see shipping conformation the next day, I called a third time. This time I was told that they were out of stock but they were expecting a delivery the next day, at which time it would ship out. Another week passed and finally on 8/5/09 my item was shipped.
I would not order from them again."

"The unit displayed on the web site and shown as available, which I ordered, was in black. The unit that was delivered, however, was not black, but silver. When I called to ask about this, I was told that they did not have the unit in black, but only in silver. I asked for an adjustment in the price, since what was delivered was not what was shown on the web site as available and what I had ordered. I was offered a $2 credit to my credit card account. I declined that offer. In my opinion, to show one color item on your web site as available, and then ship a different color item than what was shown and ordered, is consumer fraud."
