will never use them again

"I ordered for valentines day. they not only did not deliver, they kept saying it was in transit next thing i know i get an email at 730pm that it was coming the next day via fedex. horrible"

Horrible service

"Horrible Horrible Horrible
I wish I would have read online reviews before placing this order.
Sympathy flowers were ordered for a co-worker, to be delivered to her home while she was out on bereavement. I ordered them in the morning and was able to choose same day delivery. After placing the order online and receiving a confirmation email, I had a missed call from 1800-Flowers. I called the number back, gave the customer service rep my order number and asked why they had called me. The woman spoke very poor English and we both had a hard time understanding one another. She said that they called because the first local florist they used was not able to deliver the flowers to a home address and the order was forwarded to another local florist. She assured me that all was fine with the order and it would be delivered. (This is Thursday)
When the co-worker returned to work the following week, she was asked about the flowers by the owner of our Company. (this was on a Wednesday) She stated that she never received any flowers from us.
I immediately called the same number back to inquire about why our order had never been delivered. Another customer service rep that barely spoke any English took the call and once again we both had a very hard time understanding one another. After being put on hold several times she finally came back and said it was still out for delivery. I said, it was supposed to be delivered last week, to which she replied "it is still last week". I started to get heated at this point and informed her that "it was NOT still last week" and proceeded to demand some answers. I was told we would be given "$20 big save" for our next order and that they would "redeliver" our order the next day. After asking several times wth she meant by that and it was established that they would email me a $20 savings coupon for our next order. I said there would never be another order placed with them and there could not be a "redelivery" as there was never a delivery to begin with. She then stated that they would cancel the order and we would not be charged. I requested email verification saying such and she simply said "Yes". I said "yes you will email me" and again I got a "Yes". I said what email address are you going to use which was followed by silence. I eventually hung up on her and emailed customer service asking for confirmation that we would not be billed. The email back said they were sorry and that they had set up a delivery for the following day. I wrote back saying I did not want a delivery and wanted confirmation that we would not be charged. I received this in return:
We're very sorry your order did not meet expectations. We're fully committed to our 100% Smile Guarantee, and we have already process a redelivery of your order on Febuary 16, 2018, at no additional cost to you.

We will also issue you a $20 Savings Pass, good towards your next purchase, which will arrive via e-mail within one week.

Please let me know if you still want this order to be delivered.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope you'll let us deliver another smile for you soon!

I replied to the email in complete disdain explaining that we absolutely did not want them to "redeliver" this order and that we expected NOT to get charged for the order, etc. etc.
I have not heard anything back as of yet, but fully expect that we will be charged for the order.

Worst customer service

"Ordered flowers 5 days in advance. Told 8 pm the day the flowers were to be delivered that the arrangement was not available by the affiliate florist. Have been on customer service calls three nights in a row trying to get some kind of flowers delivered. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GO ELSEWHERE. THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR ORDER"

Worst service ever.

"I ordered flowers for a special birthday on Sat. and were suppose to be delivered on Tues. I was told at the time i ordered them that it would be one of the first ones to be delivered that day. I kept checking thru the day and said they would be delivered by 8:00 PM. Well i called at 7:45 that night and they told me that they could not be delivered. Then they told me that they would give me a full refund, that is so nice of them to refund my money after not delivering my flowers. I thought the least they could do was deliver them even if it was late. They said no i got a refund, after making me look like a total ****. Thanks again for nothing i hope many people read this and go to someone else. I just wonder if the management really noes how they treat people after not delivering the flowers."

Ordered Flowers for my 86 year old grandmother's birthday. Dead flowers arrived 2 days late after multiple phones calls.

"Ordered Flowers for my 86 year old grandmother's birthday. (I live hours away). Got a message that they were delivered. My aunt said they were NOT delivered. 1800FLOWERS does NOT answer the phone. FINALLY after multiple phone calls and several emails, some flowers arrived 2 days late and the flowers were dead! (My aunt said it was the smallest, saddest looking bouquet of flowers - 4 dead roses and some daises for $75). 1800FLOWERS Said they would deliver again and NEVER DID. Called to tell them they didn't deliver again like they said .. and they said they would put a $20 credit on my account. Less than 1/4 of what I paid.
So .. to recap. No flowers on her birthday. No flowers the next day. By this time she knew because of all of the phone calls. Finally DEAD flowers (and not near the amount of flowers I paid for) arrived. Called to have them replaced. After they said they would replace and give me a $20 credit, they were NEVER replaced. I will NOT use the credit because I swore to myself that I would NEVER use 1800Flowers again.

Hidden Charge Ruins Whole Experience

"I like the product offerings at 1-800-flowers, find the site easy to use; can usually find some kind of promo code; like having an address book with them; but I know they are expensive. Since I've heard horror stories about shipped flowers I always look for the items that will be delivered by a local florist. I know to click on each size to see how different they will be because you only see the largest when you click first click on it. By the time you see the affordable small one - most of the flowers are gone from what the recipient will get. So.. I feel comfortable watching for that. But what I forget is that when you finally get to the payment page your total will have a minimum service charge of $14.99 for EACH item in the cart. So I like an item that is on sale and I order one for each of 2 people. I get to the checkout and have a $30 service fee - for 2 items! Grrrr. I then swear I will never order from them again. I just hate that deception. Include whatever that is for in the price already!! They don't of course because we wouldn't buy anything from them. "

near impossible

"I ordered an arrangement for my daughter in law's mother, after visiting with them and staying in her home for a week. She lives in a different state. I did not get a confirmation of my order and when I tried to track it and to find out why I did not get one it was near impossible...couldn't easily get access to talk to anyone. ..the web site kept re-directing me and when I would click on the link to customer service it just re-routed me to where I did not get any help. They want to discourage you from calling and make you fill out all kinds of info on line, instead. It took longer to try to find out about my order than it did to place an order. You will sacrifice about 20 minutes or more of your life trying to get any help if you need it or talk to a real live person! They hadn't sent the order out yet as move up the delivery date when I finally talked to a representative. This was a Christmas arrangement and I wanted her to receive it right away and enjoy it before she left to go away for Christmas. Having it sent so long after my visit is unacceptable! BIG HINT.... If you want to send flowers to someone in a different state, search on line for florists in the area of the address close to it's destination. You can order on line and it works just fine. You can also see reviews of the place. It is much easier to communicate with a local florist and when I did this I got an immediate email confirmation that my order had been delivered and it all worked out great. Shop local!!!!"

only a 50% chance of getting what you pay for!

"I placed 2 orders for my brother-in-laws memorial service. The first one was a $279 spray. It was very nice even though one of the lilies portrayed in the picture was not in the arrangement. Only important because that was one of his favorite flowers.
I was given a 15% discount for the second order. It was supposed to be a large basket with plants and a small memorial plaque. I paid $85 with the discount and received a very small basket with sad looking plants. This arrangement was to be from my mother, sister and brother. I was so embarrassed!
They are trying to "make it right" by sending another arrangement, but the damage is done and I am refusing their offer.
All I can say is they need to be more careful about who they have filling orders for them and I have learned to use someone local rather than going through them ever again.

Not even close to what we ordered

"I purposely ordered a plant because it was just a visitation with the funeral being held two days later in another state. I have never been so embarrassed! It didn't even remotely resemble the plant that I order! No peace lily , no decent plants at all stuck in a cheap little basket that you would pick up at Walmart! Do these people that fill the orders not look at the number and picture that you ordered? My 5 year old granddaughter could have done a better job!!! Very unprofessional!"

Failed to Deliver for a 25th Anniversary

"I placed an order for my wife to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. The flowers were never delivered. When I called their customer service the first person I spoke to told me the flowers would deliver the next day and that it was better late than never. Unbelievable response. I then spoke to a manager who has promised to refund my full cost and deliver the flowers.

They ruined what should have been a very special day. I will never use their service again and encourage everyone else to do the same.

Wow, what a deception in advertising.

" I ordered (July 2017) the "Vibrant Blooms DOUBLE Bouquet" for $65. It showed a huge bouquet with at least 32 flowers showing. What I got was a small group of 12 flowers! Beware. Serious ripoff. "

"I have used 1-800-flowers quite a few times have always been happy with the service, the delivery and flowers. I ordered flowers for a dear friend who was turning 89 years June 18th and when they text me
a picture of the flowers a few after hours after they were delivered I could not believe what I saw. I ordered the Serene Green -MED and what delivered was nothing like what I ordered. I called and complained was told they would deliver another one, just have my friend put the wrong arrangement out and so they could pick it up and deliver the right one. It was not done. I called again and was they would take of it but it never happened. I will never use 1800flowers again.
